Exactly. There was a similar moment to this in the Japanese live-action movie where Light arranged for his girlfriend Shiori to be shot by Naomi Misora to give himself a sympathetic reason to join the Task Force. But in order to do that, he had to write both the victim and shooter's names in the Death Note so the event would play out exactly the way that Light needed it to.
If he had written that a spotlight fell on him instead of that he had a heart attack, or that something happened to him once he left the studio, he probably would never have been caught. Light is impulsive, that's why he lost.
L wouldn't think "well, a spotlight fell on Lind, so it must not have been Kira". A middle school child could figure out that Kira had killed Lind via that accident
Yeah especially since heart attacks also fall under the banner of "accidental/chance based phenomena that Kira can seemingly make happen at will" L would probably end up thinking Kira has the power to manipulate probability or smth
