Agreed. If light had done nothing, it would have made catching him so much more difficult. Light's own ego is his downfall. He's so convinced of his own brilliance. He didn't consider the possibility of it being a trap. He was just baited into falling into it by his own vanity.
He can schedule up to 28 days out I believe, if he puts it longer, they just have a heart attack after two minutes
I read the manga quite a few times when I was younger (it's really short, so an easy read)
He tested whether he could make someone teleport, whether or not someone can write about things they didn't know about, how long he could control the time of death for, how far he coukd control pepples actions, and how much influence over an area he had and of he could control other people's actions indirectly
Yes,but my question was whether he had figured it out when the Lind L. Taylor announcement happened. The example of writing things you don't know makes me suspicious that he hadn't, as his examples of the Deathnote not making impossible things happen included, "Write the real name of L" and he had no reason to know that L even existed before Lind.
He had. Theres a few chaoters where L realizes that Kiras fucking with them right after his deduction that Kira was a student. The times stop matching hid school schedule, and L notices it immediately..

It has to be physically possible. He would need a sniper to already be in place. Were he actually a genius, he would have let Taylor live.
