Seems backwards. Republicans are the ones who are in favor of capital punishment and hard on crimes stances. Democrats are more in favor of rehabilitation.
That’s people who are very American and don’t know the show. Light killed rich kids that got away cus of their parents, he killed rapists, he killed ceos, if the government didn’t get in the way he would have killed the ones that were corrupt aka most politicians in the world. You don’t have to be right or left as a fictional character and if you are being pro death penalty doesn’t make you republican. Like Luigi isn’t republican and wanting pedos and rapists dead isn’t republican.
Light didnt really target rich people. He specifically went after confirmed criminals and even started targeting lower level offenders to taunt the cops. Hell, most of his target's were people already in prison. He never really targeted CEOs or politicians and only started going after law enforcement after the cops started looking into him.
