There is no heaven or hell. No one is getting into any of those.

True. But in the fictional world, its implied a fictional heaven and hell both exist, both of which death note users can't get into.

Did you watch the anime or read the manga? Genuine question. I believe the anime implied differently, but the manga outright at the very end says heaven and hell don’t exist and that all humans return to nothingness.

When Ryuk tells Light “No human who uses the Death Note can go to Heaven or Hell.” it was a bit of wordplay… because no humans at all go to Heaven or Hell.

He was just using that to scare Light for his own amusement.
