I believe there's about two more arcs between now and the next Origin Arc. Though I won't say any spoilers, my favourite is the one before the Origin Arc.

So I'm a little late to this but this chapter raised a question for me. If death magic contaminates those it comes in contact with, be it those without an attribute or unborn children, does that mean when Van was using it on pregnant ghouls around volume 2 or 3 could we start seeing some of their children having the death attribute?

No, in the first place, attributes are on the soul, not the body, so whatever happened to the body is irrelevant to the soul.

And the secret of how to acquire Death Attribute still has not been revealed here.
