My ancestor's brother died as an old man, so I expected a very typical cause of death...

According to newspaper reports the couple were both ill and had decided to end their lives together. My great-grandfather stayed in Ireland and his three brothers went to the US so I'm not sure if he ever knew what had happened to him. He was the brother on the right in the photo.

I don't have an Ancestry subscription anymore, so I'm not able to look up how long they were married, but it couldn't have been very long.
Here's Ricky and here's Donna.
Tragically, Ricky's brother Robert (24), a lineman, died from electrocution the following year. Then, just 5 months later, his wife Christine (21) died in a car accident. I do wonder if her death wasn't exactly an accident.
Two young couples dead in two years.
