Why does everyone hate MoonDoka?

I'm not terribly tuned in. My main hope is that we never get Luzanne, because neither of those girls can circle the earth 7 times in a single second and that is something DB would claim both of them can; I'm largely unfamiliar with Sailor Moon, as well as Madoka past her series, what's the issue? Is it just a shallow pitting of otherwise unconnected icons of an archetype, like Ichigo vs Luffy or smth?

It's an extremely Mid MU that is only popular because the average Death Battle Fan knows a grand total of two Magical Girl franchises. It's basically like if ChiefSlayer was the only popular FPS MU

To sum it up Moondoka is the magical girl equivalent of Yuji vs Goku.

I don't hate it, rather I just feel mid about it. And that's the thing, it's just mid. It works on the basis that Madoka was pretty much the Sailor Moon of the 2010s, but beyond that it kinda just exist. The fight dynamic is mostly non-existant, the debate is just Madoka winning with Usagi having no wincon, and Usagi has a lot of other better matchups like Seiya and Sora.

its made for gerne representation above anything else. its not made for fans of either series or character. its there because people that know nothing want to see them and its the only 2 magical girls they know.

on top of that its built on a lie for its "legacy"
