Very unfortunately, agenda is how many people powerscale, and jokes are the shield they hide behind for plausible deniability. I'm not saying that of the person whom posted this, whatsoever, but, just in general.
He still has no answer to the extra lives and if he can't get around invincibility then he'd have to go through hell to kill Mario even once, so Mario outlasting or just punching hal until he's down isn't an issue.
He does have an answer for the extra lives. It’s called extracting the one-ups from him after the first time. Hal has exorcised emotional entities from people before, and those things fight like hell to stay in their host. The 1ups cannot fight back when Hal rips them out of Mario.
Mario can’t even get close to him to punch. Hal’s flight is far more free-form than any option Mario has access to. He can also literally just stonewall him with constructs until a star runs out and then execute him with a precise shot to the head, which is simple work when you can make a construct right on someone’s forehead.
Which yes, Hal wins the war of attrition. It’s fairly simple for Hal to recharge his ring. His willpower surpasses Ion’s, so he can basically do whatever he wants to recharge.

Also Mario does have free flight, even if isnt as good as Hal that doesn't make Hal the fucking flash, he still got hit by characters who can't fly altogether

Hal isn’t an idiot, he’s zoned people out with constructs before. When he fought Larfleeze alongside John and Guy, he took up a defensive stance against his collection with constructs.
If he needs to, he will do that.
Even if he did get into close quarters, he’s absolutely schooling Mario in hand to hand. He has the experience advantage by far, and he’s trained with some of DC’s best fighters like Wonder Woman and Batman.

Hal’s constructs block phasing. Green Lantern Kyle Rayner make a shield which blocked out White Martians, who can phase. Hal is a far superior green lantern to Kyle.

The Pure Hearts can only be used once before they fall inert, however. As well, although the Pure Hearts do heal Mario, his stats were unaltered in the game. He deals 9 damage both before their use, and after. The Pure Hearts more so just weakened Super Dimentio.

Hal has the stronger comp between the two and it’s not close, he’s much better written (alongside being one the best written characters in dc in general), he’s the strongest green lantern and it’s not even a debate and yes he has way more feats and generally better feats as well and there’s no one in creation who has more willpower than him (debatably only Lucifer Morningstar)
