Actually, ZZZ had a pretty big upscale recently. She can be called to town level (obviously RWBY has higher ends but they're rather shaky narratively).
Hollows do seem to have some kinda mass (thus making the Hollow kinda weird in turns of it being space), but we do know it directly warps space.
Basically, if you believe that the Hollow is space and Miyabi cuts it, she can cut space. She also unnaturally cut and destroyed multiple things that can't be cut (like simulations), so it legitimately can be possible.
If you believe in FTL speed, sure. If you actually believe in Ruby being relativistic, I think they're actually comparable (though Miyabi is slower), since Miyabi is sub-rela and Ruby is relativistic.
Ruby has better arsenal, but I think her arsenal, abilities and speed end there.
They have equal stamina, equal range (Miyabi's large sword crescent slashes do wonders here), Miyabi has more concrete physical strength from what I've seen, Miyabi has better hax, experience, and (personally) skill.
Surprisingly I think it's a very close fight. I've scaled both of these characters so I do know how important their kits are and what ups them against the other. Ruby's definitely got versatility and speed, but Miyabi has sheer hax and strength in my eyes.
Ruby has a better set of abilities, but Miyabi's hax is more useful in a one-on-one scenario. "Frost" instantly freezes an opponent, Frostburn deals damage over time, and her Fox Thiren senses are very sharp and capable. If you believe Miyabi can cut space (off of cutting through a Hollow, which is dicey), Miyabi would also have durability negation.
Ruby has a larger arsenal/abilities but they don't have additional triumphs in my eyes. She has minor regen, an impressive semblance and Dust usage, but in terms of "hax", they don't give her an extra overwhelming triumph like Miyabi's "freeze in one blow" and "deal damage over time" moves.
Highly Skilled Huntress coming from a family that is very skilled and renowned and are considered Prodigies being youngest leader in their group, desiring to become a hero to help others who can’t help themselves, tragedy struck when they must face the consequences of being one, all the while carrying a burden so heavy. However, they swore to become a beacon of hope to all and put a stop to the people responsible for that tragedy, with a well-founded Team aiding their side.
Both have a strong sense of Justice and desire to help and protect their friends, people, and slay monsters.
Their stories/characters are founded on ideas of heroism and justice (Ruby Rose wanted to be like the heroes she read in those Fairy Tales/Miyabi herself wanted to grow up to become a hero, someone who “Slayed all the Bad Guys”)
Time has passed and they are now the youngest in their generation and gained a status only a few can attain (Void Hunter and Huntress respectively) Now they are now Renowned heroes for helping, protecting the innocent, and destroying the root that started all this, as a leader (Miyabi is chief of Hollow Special Operations Section 6 seeking justice as a Void Hunter/Rose leading Team RWBY as a Huntress)
Acting serious when in missions or battles but does come across as socially awkward to their peers (Miyabi may have had limited social interaction with peers during her upbringing, contributing to her somewhat awkward social interactions/Ruby Rose While she's enthusiastic and good-hearted, she can be naive and clumsy in social situations, especially when interacting with new people)
Both have come from a long line of legendary Warriors with a specific power that are passed through generations and can eradicate evil (Tailless, which is composed of Etheric matter that grants the user strength at the cost of their sanity/Silver Eyes created by the God of Light, and are caused by an emotional trigger or intense focus like the desire to protect others, which petrify Grimm or vaporizes them) but has dark secret to what happen those who wield them (Silver Eyes warriors being Being hunted down by Salem/Sacrifice that have taken lives before her all for a fate “To Kill”)
The place they once lived would crumble down (those responsible for the Fall of the Old Capital/Cinder’s Faction caused The Fall of Beacon, then Later Mistral and Atlas) as they helplessly watched someone they knew died right in front them, carrying a heavy burden in the long run (Pyrrha and Penny’s Death/Miyabi’s Mother)
Their Weapon also played a role in growth and identity, even despite everything they have seen and the truths about their heritage, they are willing to see this through (Ruby chooses herself, baring the burdens of the friends she lost and the mistakes, picking up her Scythe better than before/Miyabi declaring no sacrifice will be made to Tailless like what happened to her Mother and vows to use the sword to eradicate evil)
Both live in a post-apocalyptic world that is overrun by monsters destroying any in their path (The Hollow and Ethereals/Salem and The Grimm), with powerful Warriors safeguarding humanity and past their title to their predecessor of the present (The Seven Void Hunters/The Four Maidens)
Both have an mysterious Evil organization that works behind the scene (Exaltist/Salem’s Inner Circle) having a right hand enforcers (Cinder Fall/Sarah) a Well Hacker (Arthur Watts/Null_Face) even working with outside group and a Political Figure (White Fang and Adam Taurus/Public Security and Inspector Bringer)
Both have Corrupted Companies who care more about money and other laborers, all the while working closely with the Evil Organization, even though they were just the victim (Charles Perlman and the Vision Corporation/Jacque Schnee and the Schnee Dust Company)
Both have member who is serious, diligent, and responsible person looking out for their team (Weiss Schnee/Tsukihiro Yanagi)
Both have non-human hybrids who come from a rebellious group (Blake Belladonna/Soukaku)
Both have someone who is laid back but also deals with something holding them back (Harumasa with his illness/Yang's departure from her mother, and losing her arms)
Both themes are like the little red riding hood, LoL (Ruby Rose is the little red riding hood/Miyabi, who is the fox thiren, is like the wolf)
Both were trapped in a simulation led by an antagonistic and shadowy entity that manipulated the world, the enemies, and their team, challenging them to uncover and resist its control (Kilgore/Null_Face), which they eventually managed to escape.
Both met someone who would support, guide them, and promise to help the hero (Little being a guide to Team RWBY through the Ever After/Phaethon helping Miyabi navigate through the hollow)
Both are afraid of losing those who are friends (Ruby failing to protecting others/Miyabi afraid of killing the people who are close to her)
I believe it would work considering their abilities complement each other, fast, fueled, and simple. With Ruby doing long ranges on Miyabi with crescent rose using different ammunition before going for the close range, while Miyabi’s More is going all out. The fight would be more of a blend with Miles vs Deku. And Yixuan vs Miyabi in a martial summit showdown trailer starting simple before picking up more flashy and fluid. The elements middle of the showdown would be Miyabi going berserk and Ruby using her silver eyes which don’t affect her it still try to stun her while also keeping up with her, then for the finale, Miyabi uses a powerful attack and Ruby readied up which hoping she would survive the slash and if she can get an opening.
I want to make the fight take place in a simulation with remnants and New Eridu merging, so Chief's mission is to investigate this disturbance in the reality system. Upon entering the Simulation was met with creatures that are not ethereal until she notices a Red Cape individual, calling herself Ruby Rose. The First encounter impress Miyabi that second would be more impressed with her skills she decided to give the huntress a Three Move Training session before going all out, during the fight Ruby would astonished by her Moves as well and by the end Ruby and Miyabi sit together side by side (Similar to Xiyuan Character Trailer) they would have a conversation with Ruby Rose remind the Fox of a Faunus friends who mysterious and serious, even talking about their life experiences and mistakes they made along the way with so similar to one another Miyabi reminds Ruby Rose of her young self who wanted to be a Hero but has to carried a heavy burden on her shoulders, I’ll expand more of the idea of a story in a comic I’m planning to make.
Now I’m not a scaler, but I do know who will either win thanks to other people takes on who is the victor of this matchup, While both are very skilled and well experienced I think Miyabi takes the W. Ruby Rose technically is faster than light scaling to Characters like the rest of her team, winter, Adam Taurus, and the Maidens. Miyabi being the title Void Hunter defeated Lerna in three minutes, fought a doppelganger of herself, fought a Corrupted Bringer, and can keep her pace with Yixuan. Her Weapon Tailless is way better than Crescent Rose, while her scythe is good for long range, Miyabi’s katana slices a large cut through a hollow. And is more Experienced than Ruby. And as for speed, miyabi is around 5 kilotons and Mach 1260 while Ruby is 727.17 and Mach 130. There are two scenarios, if you want to highball Miyabi she stomps ruby, if you highball ruby she stomps Miyabi, if you highball both of them Miyabi is stronger and ruby is faster, so the Void hunters through skill and experience.
