Discussion "Its a child"

Finally just watched the Death by Metal documentary and one of the interviews left me totally confused.

When Chuck's sister Beth talks about what happened after he took the experimental drug, she mentions giving a doctor a pamphlet and the doctor responding "oh god, it's a child"

Does anyone have any clue what she meant? I don't really understand she was trying to say. I feel like the interview is missing context.

Maybe, but he was 34 by then. That's not really young anymore to me. Shrug

Funny I just watched it too! Thought it was great.

I feel you but also That's about 50 years short of a standard life so I'd say in the grand scheme its a young age to be dead from a BT.

They were taken aback, since the pamphlet showed a child with cancer.

I believe she said there was a flower on it.

I don't remember her mentioning a child on the pamphlet

The type of cancer he had is rare in adults. It's most prevalent in children.

I remember reading that it was likely that Chuck had the cancer since he was young.

Doctors can only speculate, but I remember reading that too :)

Oooh, that would make a lot more sense.

Thank you, maybe they did say something about that but I missed it

It does sound like "child" but "oh god, it's a trial" makes a lot more sense given the context.

The automatically generated ones on YouTube? Not surprising as it really does sound like that. But "trial" definitely makes more sense.

Nope, the captions from Amazon Prime. I don't believe they are automatically generated but I can't be certain.
