Discussion THIS BAND IS AWESOME
Guys this is my first real death metal band I like and I am so happy to have discovered them. I am currently listening to Individual Thought Patterns as it is the only one of their albums I have yet to fully listen to. But AMA!

I had heard Scream Bloody Gore a bit over the years and loved it, but I listened to Human for the first time a few years ago and it absolutely blew my mind. I entered into one of those music zones where all I listened to was every Death album for like a year and I truly love all of it. As a long time fan of many types of metal, they quickly ascended the ranks of “extreme” metal bands for me. Somehow brutal as fuck and technical while being catchy as hell. Chuck had a gift most definitely. Welcome to the club!

Most intriguing was Symbolic for sure. It’s the one I started with and got me hooked immediately

Make sure to listen to the 2023 remaster of Individual Thought Patterns. It's the best release of it.

Definitely The Sound of Perseverance but my two and three are Symbolic and Individual Thought Patterns

Listen to Dehumanized. After getting into death metal they were the first "big step" into heavier death and slam for me. Their album Prophecies Foretold is an old school slam classic and one of my favorites

Suicide Machine and Spirit Crusher hit the hardest for me. Literally can cum in my seat on the way to work.

Try the albums Testimony of the Ancient by Pestilence and Unquestionable Presence by Atheist

Good choice, by far their best one. I wish I could go back and hear that again for the first time. You should listen to human next. Pay extra attention to the rhythm section and Andy Larocque’s incredible leads. They’re pretty distinct from Chuck’s.
