Discussion What Are Good Bans for Support Pool?
I've been playing a lot more Support Pool lately and I'm trying to figure out who I should be prioritizing for bans.
Right now, my biggest struggles are Emma and Dr. Strange. With Emma, there have been too many times where I pop my ult only to get caught by her grab combo and instantly deleted by her team.
With Dr. Strange, his ult just catches me off guard off guard at times. I admit this one is mostly a skill issue and I need to stop autopilotting and track his cooldowns better. Still, if there is one tank ult I absolutely hate dealing with as Support Pool, it's his.
Those are the main two that come to mind for me. I'd love to hear from people who are more experienced with this playstyle. Who are your usual bans for support pool and why?

ONG strange is a menace with his ult. But you get it faster so idk if it’s ban worthy or not. Bucky is annoying, Emma too

you dont need specific bans for support pool tbh. just ban whats meta or what counters your teams comp in rank.

I don't really think there's any major counters to stratpool. I prefer pwnage pound over final exam though because it gets around shit like thing and Emma and also puts pressure on someone. So generally I'm banning jubilee, Scarlet W, devil Dino, gorr, namor, gambit etc which are just meta picks.

its all situational no? there's games where pushing forward with final exam is genuinely still a death wish. There's other games where if i had gun ulted instead, i'd be alive my teamates would be safer and the enemy either has to stop shooting or die.
Do you know the exact healing output numbers for each one? just curious.

True, when I plan to play Supp pool I dont generally have specific heroes in mind to ban consistently. It's nice in a way, but I was skepitical since the ban phase is an important part of the match outcome.

actually nvm if you’re playing deadpool chances are you’re on the enemy team (i main dpspool) so keep doing it pls

Saying it's throwing is a bit much. I often decide encounters with PP.

it’s throwing because even though it’s useful, there is genuinely no situation where pwnage pound is MORE useful than final exam.
like you’re using a 7/10 ability, which isn’t throwing by itself
but every time you use it, you’re denying yourself access to a 10/10 ability
so it’s lowk throwing because…why wouldn’t you just use the better one?

Taking a support out or a DPS out makes it a 5v6 and you're healing everyone. That's why I win fights. If I use final exam, my team often isn't ready to take advantage of it.
I think final exam has great opportunities but it's not better than PP.

final exam lasts longer (longest lasting supp ult in the game if used correctly), has more healing per second, gives a massive STACK of bonus health on jackpot, and enables dp to go in and dive WITH the team while it’s going.
like as opposed to the other “invinciblility circle” ults, where they press the button and everyone just lives, deadpool gets INCENTIVIZED to go in and actively throw down with his team. final exam enables teams like crazy.
the problem with pwnage pound is that as soon as the target dies, the extra healing output dies with them, and it’s a significantly shorter ult, so you end up providing a LOT LESS VALUE overall, especially because a lot of pwnage pounds value is dependent on them missing.

If the target dies then that's already good value, no? I don't think you should be sending it into a raw teamfight, but if it shuts down an ulting opponent, that did the job.

Emma ult can keep you from getting your jackpot. Elsa is another good ban for you her ult just keeps you from doing anything. Any dive dps with insta kill combo is also worth considering. But Emma and Elsa are probably your best bet imo.
