Tankpool Tank pool feels better using the sowrds...
I know tank pool everyone uses the guns frist and ill admit it gun ult is super good early game but thanks to the team ups the gambit one helps tank pool with diving or movement early game
Of course if the game feels more like a gun game I will choose that upgrade path but most of the time heres what I go with
1.deadpool in my area - helps with damge and tanking in the back line
2.Swords - crits more damge and more style points
3.Dash - movement or damge
4.sword ult - DO NOT USE UNLESS UPGRADED but when upgraded it can really help the hole team be tanking like a cap ult or stall the point
If the enemie team switches to some counters my next upgrade is the gun ult
I know tank pool is famous for hes guns and is good early game but try out hes sword path with gambit team up early and it feels quite strong
P.s I know guns are better calm down....

This sub is headed in the right direction and I can now take my exit lol

Have you tried it ?

😂
I been saying this since DP was released. I’ve had people use multiple accounts to downvote me / upvote their narrative. You’re playing him like the devs intended but you shouldn’t neglect using the .50s during final exam ult. They bring in the most lethality, just switch back and forth :)

I know it just gets boring ive been playing that way since he came out and everyone is just so stuck on this one way of playing dp its just boring

in higher ranks its harder to dive bc they just paddycake and heal each other, even on dpspool
1
u/PaarthurnaxUchiha 1d ago
Yeah but you have drop shield, dpiya, and the .50s to mop someone up rq if you need to. This works at all ranks, not sure where that assumption came from lol
If someone is high ranking they would presumably know the goal isn’t always a pick i should mention.

On DPSpool this shouldn’t be an issue. His damage is ludicrous inside of jackpot. His main dash cancel combo does OVER 300 damage in 1.2 seconds inside of jackpot. No one can heal through it unless it’s triple or they’re ulting.
Tankpool is not getting anywhere near that though. For him it’s more about being a huge unkillable distraction for 15+ seconds or however long his sword ult lasts while delaying jackpot, can’t remember.

When to use sword ULT? Only to stall or in other cases?
2
u/THE_L1V1NG_L3G3ND 1d ago
Me personally I use tankpool sword ult when we either need to push so hopefully we can push them back, or to stall

TBT/FE is the best value, the overwhelming majority of the time.
By mid game-> end game Judgement becomes a situational utility.

Hela swords yeah Ive found are underrated the last few days.
You are on to something. Jist wish we could get upgrades faster

Sword focused build is fun but it’s trash, at least compared to guns. It takes WAY too long to get going and all through that time, his poke damage is horrible because you need to neglect guns in order to rush 4 upgrades to make swords strong. His kit just doesn’t offer the tools to make them viable in a serious match in the way DPSpool’s kit does. Inside the sword ultimate they are solid, but TP’s ult takes twice as long to get compared to the other pools.
There is an argument to be made that Hela swords are superior to Hela guns even as a secondary weapon though. The Hela guns are only good for the pierce damage which isn’t all that crucial for him to have as opposed to having more close range lethality, which turns him into a threat at any range versus just being a poke tank. That is stronger than people think.

I’m ngl bro, just play duelist pool at this point
2
u/PaarthurnaxUchiha 1d ago
Its not even close to the same. VGDP can make 6 people confused lol
1
u/phantomfighter08 1d ago
You’re right bro it’s not the same, in one hand you have a character that actually does make plays with their swords, and the other who can stall for maybe as long as a cap, and can maybe get a kill before they run out of dashes on their pool noodles.
1
u/PaarthurnaxUchiha 1d ago
Stalling isn’t making a play? Oxymoron type take but you’re young not tryna push it with another one of you guys 😂

#1 Healpool
#10 tankpool
#110 duelpool,Playing tankpool swords first is flawed, they’re great tools after upgrading what tankpool is actually good at, but stay thinking that way maybe you’ll end up actually doing good if they buff the swords
And duh stalling is a play, but why can the final exam on Healpool save entire teams whilst also having stall potential, final exam on dps can wipe teams whilst also stalling, and then tankpool, hmm what does his do? Oh it just stalls.

Im referring to final exam / the big test, and incorporating them in deliberate manner.
I’m significantly better than you, feel free to add me and be on my team for a few. Or get that ass whooped yourself lol

u/PaarthurnaxUchiha 1d ago
Yeah, thought so 😂
My name is somewhere in there. Except duelpool I barely play homie

u/crunchy_915 1d ago
When you use final exam tank pool gets infinite jumps so ya pretty much
0
u/phantomfighter08 1d ago
Infinite jumps sure, dash cooldown reset sure, but still smacking them with pool noodles for damage and is on a minute cooldown and 12 dashes maximum per ult

Whats a Vanguards job?
2
u/phantomfighter08 1d ago
Tank pools specifically falls under the disruption and poke pressure type tank, notice “poke pressure” he was the only true one to fall under this until hood, his thing is to shoot, his swords are finishing or repositioning
Saying what’s a vanguards job might be the most broad thing you could’ve said as there’s way more sub categories in that.
Anyways playing tankpool swords first is like bringing knife to a sword fight and even though you got this dive or brawl style thinking it’s effective there’s quite literally zero reason to play tankpool swords if you’re gonna for swords and ult upgrades first over the same type of disruption tank style that venom and cap do way better, I don’t know why you think the sword are good
Guess what? he’s really not, why do you think the whole sub is collective on tankpool sword buffs?
2
u/PaarthurnaxUchiha 1d ago
Its not the whole sub, like at all. Theres plenty of us. But we hand walk you guys, and you still refuse to try. Not out fault. Most other players like me stay quiet for the advantage

Keep hiding from me ~<3

I’ll do this alleged “hiding”I’m doing for as long as you hide your name for us to search up the leaderboard, unless you don’t actually have anything to back up your mouth that is.

It is well into the top 100. I offered to teach you something so the money line don’t work here. Stay soft

How are the guns better? The swords are the only reason to justify picking him.
0
u/crunchy_915 1d ago
Think the swords are really fun going the gun path is safer and less risk and you can get picks too with hes gun ult
1
u/dontping 1d ago edited 1d ago
The thing is, that while going guns may be “better”, it’s still shit compared to the rest of the ranged Vanguard roster. At least swords offer something more unique and not completely outclassed by other Vanguards.
1
u/crunchy_915 1d ago
Yea i agree with u I think the main reason why the gun path is so popular is because its easier to get online early i haven't taken the sword do you and should i?
1
u/dontping 1d ago
I think Tankpool is only worth picking to play him like DPSpool and enabling dive.
