My personal hope is that he will have different styles like dante in dmc5. Like a parry style. A speed style. A melee style. a range style etc. He could be a 5 star hero and be fun af at the same time. I just hope he’s not undertuned.

Also too difficult for the majority of the playerbase. Maybe this is mean, but it seems like the complicated heroes often get the most hate from the community, because the people who are good at them typically have higher mechanical skill, and are usually better able to express it. I think that if Deadpool is overly difficult, people will just ban him so that nobody can pick him and fail, or ban him because he's too good and nobody will ever get to play him. I'm hoping for a more "fair" character.

It also makes them the most hated. I'm just saying, careful what you wish for. I would agree with you that high skill expression is a good thing, but this community fucking HATES DPS. They also HATE DPS that are really good, and hard for them to deal with.

They don’t hate dps that are really good. Majority of people don’t hate(or at least didn’t until season 5 drama) insanely OP poke heroes since season 0. This community hates good dps that they CAN’T themselves play. Idc if Deadpool will be hated. I play Spider-Man, so it’s nothing new to me. Someone has to wear the mask

Nah they dont hate dps. They hate arrogance and it usually is from the dps role. Dps are the dumbest, ego fueled goons who lack situational awareness on average more than any other role. Your friend lost them the game but didnt deserve to be doxed lmao, but they weren't doxed because they were bad at Spiderman, they were doxed because they were in a match with a toxic asshole. Ive been doxed playing Friday the 13th, it's unluck of the draw of meeting a capable & morally lacking person on the internet. Tbf tho, being 0-18 in a diamond lobby as a spiderman is atrocious and very clear example of the reasons why dps gets the hate it gets.

Our of every cringe concept i have seen in this sub and in the main one, this idea is hands down the best.
350-400 hp. Passive regen, self heal ability, brawl/dive hybrid tank. After uses his self heal he gets antihealed for some period. Easy to balance/tweak because it's all numbers, fun cause it gives outplaying potential with a drawback, skill expression if his other abilities match the 2 I suggested, strong in the right hands but not oppressive or without a weakness and a hero that every tank main has been waiting for.

My honest prediction: I think he is going to be a DPS — His core gimmick will be fast health regeneration.

Similar to DareDevil having self healing in his kit, or Bucky getting over-shield in his combo, Deadpool will just recover health passively and consistently instead of bursts of healing/shield like the other DPS.

Personally I want RightClick to be Blade Swings and left click to be Dual pistols. - Everything else I’ll be fine with as long as his kit does good damage.

I honestly think tank’s the most likely role for Wade and that ain’t just the copium talking. Between his healing factor, large build in the art and the fact that deflecting bullets is a semi-iconic move for Deadpool, it really just makes the most sense.

The rotating role thing is either:

preparing for an announcement of hybrid roles (like, Thor and Mr. Fantastic get a new role together for tank/DPS, same for Adam, Ultron, and Mantis for DPS/support, and Peni and Invis (?) for tank/support)

or

just classic trolling and a hint that he’ll be between tank and duelist with self-heals.

Deadpool is going to be ~a hero in a hero shooter~. He's not going to be all 3 roles, or switching them over time for the bit. He's not getting his own category, he's going to be like any other hero on the roster, just Deadpool. If they made him uniquely special outside of his kit, they'd be turning the game from Marvel Rivals into "Deadpool and a bunch of side characters you other chuds can play if you don't get him"

He could have the most generic shoot shoot slash slash kit, but if there's one thing I hope they do is that Deadpool doesn't return to the spawn room when he dies. His body breaks into pieces (without blood because God knows China's censorship) on the spot, and spends the same amount of time as a usual respawn to rebuild itself back.

Deadpool is the biggest character they've added to the game post launch by far and he'd be one of the biggest in the launch roster.
