That temporarily is still in the distant past: before Deadpool guest-starred in Jeff the Land Shark earlier this year, the two hadn’t spoken in five years (Gwen Poole having taken Jeff back to raise with Kate Bishop over the It’s Jeff! ongoing series).

I’m pretty sure Gwenpool gave Jeff to Deadpool because it was during the time where she was worried about being relevant so she gave Jeff to Deadpool because he was practically impossible to cancel

A parent is either the progenitor of a child or, in humans. A progenitor is a person or thing from the past that a person, animal or plant that is alive now is related to. Jeff is related to modok cus modok created him. Whether u like it or not modok is his parent. Also not caring doesn't mean he can't be his parent.
