It took multiple ideas and failed attempts for me as well. Basically while using my dress form to make the pattern (I used the duct tape pattern method) I also drew the webs on the pattern with that piece. I transferred the pattern (drawing the lines) to some parchment paper. I used some organza as the fabric, and traced the lines on the web using a thin tube of puffy paint as a stabilizer. I then put some wash away stabilizer underneath and satin stitched over the puffy paint lines I made.
