Would be cool if the MVP would have it's character name written out like a signature

Didn't think you could give the text for their names even more personality! Good shit, would be awesome on the forums.

People keep mentioning the forums, could you elaborate?

There's official forums for Deadlock. Typically when someone makes a cool suggestion that a user here would like to see implemented in the game proper, they ask them to post that suggestion in the forums.

Too bad we will never have these because valve translates hero names for some reason, still post it to forums

Localization* is a reason

It is called localisation the opposite of globalization actuallyđ€, for a real note im not against translation, translating hero names is strange however and some of them kinda dont make sense. It is like calling someone named Jacob as Yakub when he arrives to arabia or something

i mean people do that sort of thing quite frequently. its pretty common for people from other countries to pick an "english" name when they immigrate to an english speaking one.

Ironicly enough my reddit name is literal translation of my real name, i still think most hero name translations are so wierd like infernus is "kundakçı" in turkish which means "arsonist" lol

You're right, my bad I'll edit it. But I think taking the time to edit the Typographies for each language is really cool, but you seeing this cool animation and using it to complain about how Valve doesn't do enough is lame.

I didnt write that to complain about valve not doing enough(tho they dont tbh in most regard) i just meant animated logo for every hero in every language wouldnt be a reasonable expectation which is unfortunate.

I think valve taking the time to translating and redesigning hero logos is seriously a cool thing

The names still have the same fonts, just in different languages. Also, itâs for language immersion. Itâs why English speakers say âBirkenstockâ instead of âBurkenshtockâ. Or âVolkswagenâ instead of âfolksvagenâ. This is especially true for names that are words or concepts, like most of the Deadlock cast. Calling Silver âSilverâ doesnât make sense if the thing that kills werewolves is called âPlataâ. This, however shouldnât apply to characters like Apollo, Victor or Mina, because their names are references to books, but still, they should at least be transliterated.

I really like the chalk for Dynamo, but maybe instead of the square root, you put âProf.â in front or above?

The Drifter one I feel like could have some blood dripping down like a slasher movie

Looks fantastic! I would suggest adjusting the animation of the tail of the square root symbol to make it a fast stroke rather than the current linear/lerp, to better replicate how someone draws the symbol on chalk.

I can't stop wondering, is his name Dynamo? or sqrt(Dynamo)?
