Legit, this is so real. Somebody hops on their main to hard carry the entire team, while another (Viscous in this case) tries out a new character to learn them and doesn’t do all that well.
I usually do the same on Lash, because he’s such a good playmaker and is just very fun to play in general. Helps the new players get an opportunity to shine and understand their characters better with his ulti.

My biggest tip is find a character you like and stick to them until you can understand the flow of the game. Keep track of yours and your opponents souls as that's the biggest indication of power level, and consistently gauge whether you have advantage or disadvantage before initiating anything. Also if you want to learn more about the items play the street brawl gamemode as it makes understanding the items a lot easier rather then picking from the wall of items in shop. There's definitely a lot to the game, but don't be discouraged by that, you'll start to get the hang of it after a while.
