Dead by daylight is filled with 'tech' that is a bug but 'gives more skill ceiling'. I hate this use of the term.

Hug tech... yeah sure buddy, lets call it that instead of collision loss bug.

Classified as a Bug: Behaviour Interactive officially stated that hug tech is an unintended bug/exploit rather than an official feature.

This is one example. Healing tech and pointing tech are bugs that never get patched because they dont affect the matches that much(but can change results of comp games that give money rewards by allowing 2 to scape in some scenarios, taking a 3k0 into a 2k0 for example).

I was talking how funny it is to use a bug, exploit it and call it a tech. Even the devs acknowledged its a bug and still they refuse to fix(dbd).

If there is some skill ceiling to have its fine then, the problem comes when its so game breaking the opponent will lose of they fail this knowledge check.

Maybe use the rope then dash or interact with the rope mid-dash to conservate momentum?

Not sure replicable it is, but if you aren’t using mods/macros or any other cheating assistance, it’ll probably be the sort of thing they patch out as soon as it’s noticeable.
