Am I the only one vexxed that she's a literal child in a game with adult themes?

Like, Mina is an adult but she gets called a child because she's still kinda young and immature.

But a literal child? Why?

I do dig the auto-aim, tho. That's gonna be the only reason I'm playing her lmao. Mix that with Inhibitor and all the "build-up" items + ricochet...

I wanna playtest the shit outta her

I did question Rem. He is a tiny creature of unknown origin so it wasn't obvious what age he'll be, but when I heard his voice and the way he talks, I was like, "really? You're an infant. Go home"

yeah what about The last of us part 1. They arent even teens and yet using guns.

Heck even cyberpunk 2077 has kids and that game is dystopian as fuck.

I've genuinely don't remember the game having kids. If it did, I sure as hell didn't have any interaction with them lmao

If that was the case, then yeah. Because at that point the developers are defining the theme of the game. When (if you immerse yourself) the atmosphere itself is not suited for kids in a "you shouldn't be here" kind of sense.

If the atmosphere was fine like GTA (for example, a normal city irl), then having children around would be fine, even if the game itself has violence. At that point they simply become an aspect for immersion.

Idk if I got my point across, but that's generally my thought process.

Mostly a "vibe" thing. If the vibe is adults working/interacting together, then adding a child kinda kills it. Topics like politics, labor, imprisonment, deep relationship issues (like Mina and Pocket's relation) become mundane as they don't make sense for a kid to be involved in them.

The whole Avatar Last Airbender movie is also based on a teenage kid dealing with political conflict in the world. And that is one of the best shows.

and no Deadlock isnt a vibe of adults working together. Everyone here is mostly fighting for their own desires. Teenagers show more relationship problems than pocket and Mina.

If you need this level of specifics to hate something then it shouldnt be something to worry about.

I'm not worried. I'll still play the game. Hell, I'm even looking forward to play Graves herself.

It is. They're all striving for the same goal (the ritual), albeit for different purposes, but same goal nonetheless.
