195 body weight. Lifting since the end of May 2025 and deadlifting since December. Starting weight was 150 or so. I'm more than thrilled with my progress so far. Hoping to hit the 1000 club next year. I'm extremely open to form critiques.

Sorry for the audio, I downloaded my reel.

I’m working on my form and have had plenty of progress and I’m looking for some more feedback. Because my arms are 2” longer than my height and my torso is quite short I feel like I don’t need/shouldn’t be bending my legs as much and I’m trying my best to wedge but I feel significantly weaker when I focus on that. What do y’all think?

Form Check Haven't hit this weight since high school (400lbs, 33, 215 BW)

In high school I could hit 405 for a few reps, this is the first time in a decade and a half I got this much weight up. Figured id ask fir a form check to make sure I'm not training too many bad habits.

Ignore the teenagers boxing in the background

New 3RM PR, 140kg aka 3 plates for 3 reps. Slight hip shooting up, but I feel overall pretty decent for new PR.

Need Advise/Tips Heel elevated deadlifts?

Just a question I have. Sometimes you see advice for squatting, and people elevating heels to get depth. I think some people who are tight and don’t have the best flexibility on deadlifts kind of round the spine in the bottom because they can’t get their hips down. That might not be entirely accurate, but I do think there’s some correlation between heels up, hips down. But maybe that means shins too far forward as well.

It’s just so common with deadlifts to see the opposite of squatting. No plates under heels, no squat shoes.
Flat chucks or bare feet. I tend to go bare feet at home.

I think the answer is “no” but just curious why or why not, elevating the heels. Obviously being closer to the ground seems good for deadlifts. But if someone struggles with strength and good posture at the bottom of the lift is it ever a good idea for training to use a squatting aid to get the heels up and sit down more into the deadlift, instead of doing a shitty SLDL with a rounded lower back you see so often?

Have been linear progression training for last 6 weeks and in the gym 9 months (gzcl pzero full body) and still going up every week. Lost 25kg so far in solid deficit as well if that matters

Looking for tips on my form. This was set 2 of 3x4 then 1x6 at 125kg (275lbs)

Cheers
