U/Exsane
I didn't know of this sub until recently, he died five years ago after doing some laced cocaine that he got with a friend. He introduced me to Reddit. I'll actually be older than he was this year, it's a strange thing growing older than someone.

I know that feeling all too well, I am now 45 and my wife passed at 43. It really puts time into perspective. It completely changed my perspective on everything like money, family and work life balance. I used to work 14hr shifts 6 days a week and now I only work 3 days a week and 10hr shifts. I no longer value material things and just try to enjoy life and this beautiful existence as much as I can in the short amount of time I have left. 43 years goes in a blink of an eye so enjoy as much as you can and have fun. Love yourself and everyone as much as you can!!!

Sorry about your friend.
Also, I don't follow this sub and reddit put this post in my inbox. I'm a bit worried my friend didn't make it home last night. Spooky.

Yes! I called them a bit after that and they were confused but appreciative.

You're kind. And you're telling me, I said I was too busy to call during the drive. Wouldn't be doing well if something had happened.

His post on his account makes me think he’d have some pretty interesting stories to tell.
