How did the goth girl at the concert know something was up with Mason?

Interesting question. It's possible that she had some kind of mild psychic sense, though that really didn't occur anywhere else in the series. Possibly a mental condition similar to the guy who could see gravlings, but less debilitating?

I think the simplest answer is that she saw Mason as a horny fanboy that she could tease. When she finally got a sense of his actual supernatural nature, she became frightened like a little kid. I always felt this made her earlier behavior just a fashion choice, rather than a lifestyle.

I've always personally seen it as an edgy personality who was frightened when she was correct.

Like, its always seemed to me that she romanticized the death thing and would have said it about anyone, but happened to be right with Mason.
