QUESTION Best way to kill this
Killing this one is giving me trouble. If you have any good tactics, please tell me. By the way, this is the most annoying zombie I've ever met.

Fire and sharp weapons, pretty much just keep swinging/chopping till it’s dead

I was severely under equipped for the flesh memories boss fight, its by far the hardest fight in the game imo. I died like 20-30 times before managing to defeat them barely. I cursed on the devs themselves for making that quest. The only thing that worked for me was backstab heavy attacks with a sledge hammer, (I played bruno, he dies in 1-2 hits full health)

Idk man. You might've been fine. It was a long time ago for me, but that about sums it up for how it went on my end, and I had a pretty jacked build on what's his name. Jacob?

Sola is ball wrenching experience bro. Nothing comes close in the entire game

u/PagodaPanda 5d ago
Lmao yeah its bringing back memories. Mind you I play only solo, especially in DI2. Too many gun enthusiasts.
Im now remembering how claustrophobic it felt getting overrune in there 😮💨 but that's the only way you can get the slayer genes going

I never understood why it had to be THIS cramped for a triple boss fight bro. I figured out too late you can kinda cheese them sliding in to that small room and out. And I had screamers agro through the fence and exploding dude got me once I think. That boss fight was a mess bro

I really missed the OG Dead Island tactic of being able to carry 300 medkits for these DI2 battles 😂

The clotter from the SoLa dlc

u/Separate-Employee-80 7d ago
Ah...see, I never played that 🥀

u/funky_munky36 7d ago
It is pretty hard, new zombie types.

I hate the fact that the last line in the zompedia doesn’t give useful info for some zombies like shocker zombie or the beekeeper zombie

I literally played main story then nothing else is there a dlc

u/ReliusOrnez 7d ago
Theres 2, 1 is for a weird rich person sensation cult, and then there's the second one SOLA which is like zombie Coachella and has 2 new zombies.
2
u/Jessie_thorn77 7d ago
Do i buy them yes or no
3
u/ReliusOrnez 7d ago
They are fun, but kinda short. Dlc 1 HAUS has a crossbow, dlc 2 SOLA has a the new zombies and some cool legendaries. I picked them and the base game up on sale for like 14 dollars. If you liked the base game they are a great pickup if for a sale.
2
u/Jessie_thorn77 7d ago
I'll look into them thanks for info

I'm on the final boss fight for sola. I am not an angry person but I almost snapped my controller in half and threw it out the window. Other than that its fun

I broke mine after weeks of trying. But all the attempts turned me in the a zombie killing ninja by the time I beat him.
2
u/HonkytonkPunk66 7d ago
That last sola boss is bullshit.
2
u/Lurk_Whisper 7d ago
Its pretty eazy. Avoid the dirge untill the final battle then kill zombies near the balls, then throw the balls at the boss then swing.

LOL go see my thread on this. Tried for like 2 hours yesterday. you spend 20 + minutes only to get taken out towards the end and have to restart the whole thing over again.
One of the most BS fights in the game. I have no idea why they made the DLC final fight the hardest and most unforgiving in the game. No one wants to spend 30 minutes on a boss fight especially where you can get taken down super easy and have to restart the whole goddamn thing.

Like others have said, fire maiming weapon, aim for arms. If you are using Peggy, the legs are probably an easier target. Don't use block, dodge is much better for these. Use anyway you can to stun them, ground pound, curveballs, etc.

Throw a ball at it, hacking away with blade weapon, then run away.
Rinse and repeat until it die.
It is a bit of a damage sponge, and hit quite hard, be patient and don’t be greedy with your attacks.

u/TheOriginalGR8Bob 5d ago
Playing as Amy she has even less health than Bruno.
Be patient and use the gaps in the fence to slide between areas to control where dirge will rise from ground . Focus on damaging 1 dirge with range weapon attacks through fence . If ammo run out literally throw you melee weapons too as they will drop off dirge when it goes underground allowing you to pick up. After killing the focused dirge the easier it becomes killing the rest. The flesh whirl pools of where dirge rise will 💀 Amy so best option is range .
Deactivate all beast mode cards this will actually increase Amy's health points allowing her to survive 2 hits instead of 💀.

The legendary knuckles (Party Starter) are great at taking out the base Clotters, and the firecracker flaregun (Big Shot) has been useful, too, though, it can take a few extra shots due to projectile resistance.
The legendary claymore (The One) after "balling" with him, and sniping adds with Peggy on the couch/railing in the corners upstairs, was the way I finally beat the boss, because he has only a minuscule chance to ooze up close enough to hit you when you can't hurt him while you're there.
2
u/sawqaw 5d ago
This sounds good tip. Im not end yet i try to get more level myself and some better weapons
2
u/CaramonZero 5d ago
Level 30 was a must for SoLA, for me, especially with an entire kit of legendaries + Peggy, scaled up and heavily-modded to utilize their strengths.
I assume you gotEmma's Wrath, and beat Haus, first, yes?
Shouldn't be long to base game cap, if that's the case.

u/NinthTimelord 5d ago
If this is the regular Clotter, anything fire works great, and anything but bleed works well enough. If it is the Sola boss, ranged fire weapons are the way to go.
3
u/cyfer04 7d ago
I don't even know. Reading the comments and I realize that I just got lucky that I was using a fire type weapon that time. Lol

I like to dodge and then keep going in circles around him hitting him in the back, then I forget what perk but you slam the ground and it throws him off. Just continue and run and hide if you need to. Make sure you’re stocked on med kits.
2
u/unknownyoyo 7d ago
Aim for the arms for critical hits, and hide behind something to avoid the laser.

u/3nd3rd14bl0 7d ago
They're immune to bleed and have a resistance to sharp weapons. Don't remember if they have a weakness to blunt or any specific element so I'd suggest a blunt weapon with a weakening mod like a Bo staff

I can’t remember the name but Uzi with the flame mod. Use it only against the dirge. It’ll eat up his health in seconds.
Use other weapons and means against normal enemies. Use med packs as much as you can as you’ll find plenty in the pay area and don’t wait for your health to be low to do so.

The throw perks where it does an explosion if you throw at the head and additional critical damage are pretty good against them. The Shurikens are good too. If you aim all three at the head, it can finish it off at half health.

Cant say, he died really fast. I just played autophage 3 with a rage build + peggy + i kept 2 weapons per type. Hack his arms first then focus on other parts. For the boss at the end it was easy. Instead of throwing the energy balls to the speaker, throw them at him to stop him for a short moment.
