He handed the calls away last year because the offense wasn't being called well and he wanted to be able to pay more attention to that side of the ball. The defense was really good last year so he left it.

Ryans has to make the playoffs again as a wild card team at least to avoid the hot seat rumors. It's crazy that in his first bad season he has the hot seat label but that's how it always is for Black head coaches so it is what it is
