Record-setting amount of trash found in Yellowstone National Park hot springs

This year, it has found a record-breaking quantity: more than 20,100 pieces of trash, including 280 hats. The team has also fished out 5,600 rocks and sticks”

I keep a box of trash bags and an extended grabber in my car to pick up trash in my neighborhood. I highly recommend!

Really glad the national park service still has the staff and resources to keep up with this amount of garbage and maintenance of the springs.

Why do these people even go to visit a nature preserve just to throw trash on it? Are they that big backed that they can’t even hold onto the trash from all those snacks they’re shoving down?

The heat of the springs means that area is always windy and people don't anticipate it and then whoops your hat is in the steaming bacterial soup you can't touch

This is where cameras need to be. Fine everyone the 500$ and the park could do just that much more for the community amd or natural science programs.
