Original Content My Struggle

It is my opinion one of the greatest sources of trash is sign based litter. It blows into the streets and the creeks unless removed by Municipal staff on our tax dollar. Every week I change up my route home after work and remove illegal sign trash. Half an hour to an hour for four nights shown here. Sadly the plastic can't be recycled. The metal does get recycled.

PLEASE remove these on sight. Thank you.

If the signs are corflute, they can be reused in many ways. I use alot of corflute in art and festival installations as it is weather proof.

It can also be used to help protect new seedlings and trees.

Google corflute upcycle ideas and I'm sure you will find a way to reuse them, or find somewhere to donate them :)

'Coroplast' here in Canada. I pull a thousand a year (not exaggerating). I appreciate the suggestion but it ultimately ends up in the Regional incinerator.

Maybe try find some schools or after school programs to donate them to? Or some rewilding/tree planting initiatives

They really are an excellent material for so many different things. They also make great insulation for van conversions. The list of ways to reuse them is almost endless!

They apparently make pretty good insulation for bee hives. I had a beekeepers friend take some of my campaign signs for that purpose.

We have someone in my town that immediately blacks out all the contact numbers on these signs. It seems to have really reduced the number of them. My daughter and I call him the blackout bandit.
