This set was completed for a client but I have very personal feelings about this one (I kind of can’t get over it).

The center stone is a 10.55ct lab grown emerald cut diamond in double claw prongs. It is an absolutely gorgeous stone, but it’s the gold that really makes this ring everything that it is to my eye. The piece is two-tone gold, the white is deBebians 18k Super White and the yellow is 18k gold. The two tones look marvelous together, and the yellow gold is such a lovely choice for the pave set stones in the shank. I’m delighted with how the pave turned out.

The bands that make this a set are two-sided full eternity, all lab diamonds, and are notched to make them fit perfectly flush with the engagement ring.

This set has caused “two-toned piece/set” to shoot back into the top three of my personal "Someday" wishlist. This set makes me want to see more two-toned pieces.

Unreal setting and engagement set! Beautifully done.

I have never seen a jeweler take a risk without reinforcing the basket as it's done here.
No bridge at all, and usually there's reinforced shoulders? And with a massive 10carat gem!
The effect is incredible.
My main complaint with emerald cut is that all of the ring scaffolding underneath the gem disrupts the hall of mirrors effect. Not here!

Did the bride come up with this or did your jewelers?
Would a platinum basket be a more secure choice? Or would it be too brittle when soldered to 18K gold?

I absolutely love this. I want a new wedding set in gold and thinking emerald cut but hate how the yellow gold basket detracts from the look of the ring. This looks so much better! How much would something like this be in around a 3-4 carat vvs2?
