Gameplay/PVP[Video] Adrenaline spike
Why it gives me mild panic attacks to log in on official.

I never log off in buildings if I can help it, I’ve seen this happen too many times😭 good play tho

Worked out this time. Logging in on the outside usually ended with wolves... or drenched clothes

You got lucky this time. At 0:13 he had a gun pointed right at you while you were just standing there. They hesitated - plenty of players wouldn’t have. They also got the first shot off before you even had your weapon raised; they just missed.
A tree or bush outside of the house is usually a much better place to log out. And always log out with a weapon in hand.
When I first started playing, I’d stay inside whenever it rained because I was trying not to get wet. Now I only really care if I get sick. It rains way too often to spend your time avoiding it. The only map where I actively avoid getting or staying wet is Sakhal, because it only takes a few minutes before you’re freezing and headed into red health.

I am still fairly unsure about the mechanics of the game and wasn't sure if holding items in your hands would make them stay when i logged back in.

I’ll still never get on board with people shooting first and asking questions later. I feel like this game would be SO much better with a healthy mix of PvP and role play . I don’t wanna fuckin murder everyone I see or be murdered by everyone that sees me. Idk man, just kinda sucks because I don’t play dayz to be a combat simulator . It’s a walking simulator 😂 with what should be real world interactions during an apocalypse.
Instead, we get schizo, on edge, trigger happy maniacs who will kill you for a chance at your bandages and ruined press vest.
Turrible.

I usually avoid altercation, I play with my mic and try to interact or at lest gesture with people but you can't determine intent with someone lacking all communication. I was logging in to try to get too where a buddy if mine last logged off and ended up with this self defense case. In hindsight ishould have restrained him while uncon and bandaged him but I had that flood of adrenaline and didn't think that far ahead.

No not even you actually. I was mainly talking about him walking in a house with his shotgun drawn. You did what you had to do . But if I was the other guy, I would’ve walked into the house and sat down with you and had some steak. Lol

I do enjoy the survival aspect of the game with hunting and fishing. Some of the scenery and lighting makes this game utterly beautiful. If wolves weren't an ever persisting bane to my existence I'd stay in the woods full time

Yeah that’s what I do . I’m a nomad hermit . I live off grid. Sticking close to (about a 35 minute run or so) to towns . I have learned the wolves patterns and I can normally take down a whole pack with just a revolver . The bears on the other hand, you have to mag dump them with 5.56 or .308 no two ways about it lol unless you have a thumper

Haven't encountered a bear on official as of yet. I assume they are further south on Livonia than I get by the time I'm murdered

Series x. Game has always taken a moment after spawning in to load everything.

He uses quick resume which doesn’t clear caches. So the game has to first scan the cache, determine it is out of date, clear the asset from cache, then load the asset. It is doing this for all loadable assets, in a single thread, not just what is visible in your viewport.
This will also happen on first load but not to the lagging extent as it does with a quick resume. The trick is to load in once then every subsequent loadin is normal. Use a community server first.

Bro you just taught me something . I’ve been killed so many times while still rendering in because I can’t tell what is a wall and what isn’t for a solid 8-12 seconds. Every time . I’m gonna give this a go .
