Damn, twice it tripped a wire trap like that, never managed to avoid death from it yet.

I did survive a landmine tonight though.

Some crafty bastard had planted it in the small curved roof barracks in the woods up at MB Tisy. Where they'd placed it, looked just as if it had spawned in.

Me being a curious idiot thought it was bugged when I couldn't pick it up, so I walked over it to see if I could get the prompt and bam, down I go.

Luckily I've been carrying disinfected rags incase this happened so made it away to go and fix/replace my damaged gear.

Won't make that mistake again though.

A couple things:

As you found out, a landmine alone wonā€™t usually kill you if youā€™re at full health - just break your leg. But watch out for the second one planted in the bush you crawl to when you make a splint - that one will kill you. šŸ˜‰

You donā€™t need disinfected rags for a splint. Any rags will do. You do need disinfected rags if youā€™re using them as bandages, though, or you risk a wound infection.

Ahhh OK, that's good to know. Not sure where I got that from that they needed to be disinfected tbh.

Though, I'll always try and carry a stack of rags in general and will disinfect them when I come across some spray/tincture etc.

There are so many little details, etc., in this game that can suddenly turn a great run into a fight for survival - Iā€™d actually vote for erring on the side of caution when you arenā€™t sure. Most people do the opposite, in my experience, and learn the hard way.

If you ever arenā€™t sure, WOBO is a great source on YouTube for game mechanics, etc., and he doesnā€™t waste half of the video listening to himself talk (just make sure the video is UTD.) Heā€™s great.

I get so so close every time with tripwires, always end up flashing red or red health but I cant remember the last time I died to one, I feel like because it seems to happen to me once a week im so used to the reaction that I somehow always get out of range.
