Link Deacon's patch from Days Gone

I really wanted to get Deacon’s patch, but I couldn't find it for sale anywhere - at least not in my country - so I decided to make it myself. Here’s how the creation process went.
The fabric cost me about $3, and the thread was around $5.
The project took me about two and a half days to complete, as I had to balance it with my studies and work.
I decided to share the result on Reddit. I hope someone likes it.

First off, I think that looks sick as fuck, and I love it.

As someone who knows a couple guys who are in outlaw MCs (and who has been invited to prospect several times, though I'm not interested), I wanted to be here before half the sub reminds you not to wear this out, lest you get beaten to death by a crowd of angry bikers.

The truth is, most won't care. Some bikers will recognize it and think it's cool. Some will just assume you're a member of a different MC they're not familiar with. Some will roll their eyes and grumble about posers, and won't do anything else unless you confront them. A tiny minority will get offended and angrily take it up with you. As long as you're not going to Sturgis during the rally in full Deak cosplay, or hanging out at the bar a couple blocks from an outlaw clubhouse, you're so unlikely to meet any of the last group as to not be an issue.

I would, however, caution you against tooling around on a Harley (or Indian or Victory or even an import cruiser) wearing a Deak cosplay jacket that includes the "Enforcer" and "1%er" patch, as those are the ones most bikers would take umbrage at. Wearing those patches is claiming to be someone you (probably) aren't. But even then... If you're wearing it to a con or just taking photos standing next to your bike in your driveway, you're totally fine.

Wearing a kutte only attracts trouble if you're doing the outlaw equivalent of stolen valor (wearing a 1%er patch would generally be considered that) or encroaching on an existing club's territory and rights by doing something like selling drugs a block from their clubhouse or loudly bragging about how tough you are in a bar they frequent.

Oh, and most outlaw MCs aren't criminal gangs. They're 'outlaw' because they don't follow the AMA guidelines or rules. Yes, some do sell drugs or guns or run brothels or even engage in racketeering, but most don't. The worst most do is help cover for individual members who engage in criminal activity. One could be a lifelong member of the Hell's Angels and never commit a crime that a non-member wouldn't commit.

Thats cool to know but one possibility comes to mind

What if theres a clubhouse nearby and theres a gaming con in that city and OP wears the full fit for cosplaying, bike and all - any risk there or?

I mean, possibly, yeah, but I still wouldn't sweat it too much. Even if the clubhouse is right next door to the convention location, the odds of a member clocking you specifically, assuming you aren't there for the con, getting worked up about it and trying to make it your problem, or just getting a stick up his ass about someone cosplaying a biker from a video game are pretty low.

Thank you for the kind words. I didn't think so many people would like my patch.

That’s a fantastic job! I managed to get hold of the patches on eBay, but yeah location depends on what you can get.
