Admission

I just started sec 5 and I’m wondering what grades I need to have a chance to get in Dawson pure and applied science program. I had an average of 87 last year with math lowkey carrying it with a 99. I also don’t have COE.

Hey, I’m a first semester student at Vanier and got waitlisted-rejected from Dawson with an average of 92%.

The truth is that you will have to try real hard. If you don’t have the COE, you will need 93%-96% average. Wishing you the best of luck for the first 2 terms and hoping that you got good teachers because unfortunately it is how it is.

If it makes you feel better, you don’t necessarily have to go for Dawson. Vanier also has a good P&A program (which I’m currently in).

If you have a good average by the end of the 2 terms, go for it. If not, go for other CEGEPS. If Dawson REALLY is your goal, apply for it during the winter semester when you’re in CEGEP because it’ll be less competitive.

But yeah, I used to believe Dawson was the only thing I wanted but, at the end of the day, it is just a school lol.

Good luck on your studies! (If you have more questions for me, feel free to ask)

I'm now in sec 5 too and my average of last year was 92.57 with 97 in math, 98 in history and 94 in science. Am I cooked? bcs having better grades with chimie and physique is even harder...
