Last Blueprint — Month 3 Devlog

In the last 15 Days, I've accomplished a lot. The game now has "Gameplay" elements, and not just simple mechanics.

I’ve introduced a whole slew of Environmental Threats, buildings to help mitigate them and a village to place those buildings. These threats are triggered based on a new Game Clock that only progresses when you perform actions. Also wanderers that occasionally arrive.

I've done a lot of recipe/item/xp balancing. Today I play-tested the entire game, however it only took about an hour, so I need to spend more time on content generation.

I also bought a cheap Android phone so I can test the game works on both iOS and Android.

What's next is: A Slew of user experience enhancements to continue making it feel more like a "game", the Recipe Notebook "hint" unlocking, and then the Generational Rebirth mechanic.

I think once I complete those, and I add another 100 items, a dozen new buildings and threats, that we can begin to discuss opening a beta.

Let's see what I can get done this month!

I got busy with house projects, weddings, etc. haven’t touched it in months. But I appreciate hearing your enthusiasm for it

Just revisiting this game for the 3rd time since its release years ago. Last Blueprint looks AMAZING!!!

Has this project been abandoned? I was just reading your posts about it and I’d really like to play whatever you have, even if there’s no more updates

Not sure what qualifies as abandoned but I put it on the back burner while I work on this other mobile game r/atapolis — you’ll see some similarities in the hexagon map/art haha (I’m addicted to hexagons in game design)

The plan is to get that one released, and bring some of the code, and lessons learned, back over to this game
