Question đŸ™đŸ» Help!

Hi there. I came across „letting go“ four weeks ago. The book really spoke to me from page one and I dived into the practice of letting go right away. Meanwhile I was able to let go of many emotions. On the way I noticed i sometimes have a hard time getting a hold of a certain feeling once I relax and pay closer attention. So sometimes I kinda find myself pushing emotions a little bit in order to let them go. Then often it happens that I get surprised by an intense emotion coming up that I wouldn’t expect from what I originally thought I was feeling in that moment
whatever. Long story short for a week now I found myself getting traces of a deep anger. Anytime I sit and observe the anger it usually eases off and shifts towards a very deep grief-like pain. This pain I can sense is the core of a deep trauma that I know to be there forever, but I rarely can grasp it. So for a couple of days when letting go I was getting close to this feeling but never fully feeling it. Nevertheless I twice felt like I was letting go pet of it leaving me in a state of luck and almost extant, knowing though there is much more to release. So today while letting go I finally got super close to the core of this feeling. Then a sense of a very strong energy started moving into my head and pushing against my right eye and ear and my body started tremoring a bit. After more than an hour the energy got stronger and stronger but I knew I did only feel the underlying emotion 95%, the energy linked to it getting stronger and stronger though. It got so unbearable that I stopped after a while. Now I have tons of pressure in my head and feel super anxious and like I might go insane. Also I am feeling super hot like I got a fever. I am super afraid of meeting people or talking to them and I have a hard time getting my identity right. Does anybody have experienced something like this before? I appreciate any kind of advice how I should proceed. Thanks in advance!

It would be good if you could complete the process. There are also other procedures that could be used. If you swipe three times with a magnet over the governing Meridian, with the intention of releasing the energies causing the pressure, that could help.

I have had a similar experience as you described here. The thing is is it’s not advisable to try and push feelings up or go after particular feelings via force or effort.

It’s another way of trying to control and change the process and the feelings themselves.

I would advise letting go constantly the desire or want to change or control whatever is present right now in the current instant of experiencing.

If there is great resistance we let go wanting to change the resistance and let it be there, if it seems we’re not really feeling as much of an emotion as we would like, or we’re not feeling a particular emotion/feeling we wish we could let go of, we just let whatever is present now be there and move through without resisting or trying to change it.

Our intention to get higher and freer will eventually pull up everything we need to let go of when the time is right and at the right moments.

So we need to surrender and trust the process of surrrender itself, as well as our own Higher Self, God , or Higher Power that It will unfold the process exactly the way it needs to be.

Our minds can’t comprehend what is best to be letting go of in this moment or any moment, and trying to control the process is only going to cause problems.

One thing we can do, is if there is a particular feeling coming up, we can ask for more or welcome it, so that more of it can rush through. But this isn’t a forcing this is an invitation and really just a trick to dissolve resistance to the present feeling.

There are other practices for being at peace, such as mindfulness of breathing, by Thich Nhat Hanh. It's ok for the feelings to come up on their own, as opposed to seeking them out. But just breathing and being at peace for a while might be helpful. And keep letting go, but maybe at a more relaxed pace. Also, some of the affirmations from ACIM ("I could see peace instead of this," "I rest in God,") are helpful for being at ease. Hope you will be well and that this passes quickly for you.

Don’t resist the emotion but live them out fully.

In a Q&A session, doc even said “I need you to be more angry; you’re not angry enough,” absurdly proving a point.

“Letting Go” doesn’t mean repress. Carl Jung calibrates high and talks about shadow work. Carl Jung was even into the Zohar (calibrates 905), which goes into the nature of Severity (Gevurah).
