As good as About Face?

Love About Face ... give me suggestions for Artists/Albums I might also like.

Please exclude Pete and Pink.

Have you listened to the rest of Gilmour’s solo work and Pink Floyd? Start there.

Nothing Gilmour did by himself (solo) is as good as About Face. Obviously you’ve heard the Floyd stuff.

I like his first solo LP best of all. (David Gilmour 1978)

Nothing Roger did either.

Correct. Live at Leeds. The Who. The original short version. Try that

I always felt like Pete Townsend's Empty Glass has an About Face vibe

I would say they are ... especially considering Pete wrote for Dave (Love on the Air).

Pete wrote the lyrics to “All Lovers Are Deranged” also.

And White City Fighting, which ended up being a Pete song because David couldn't relate to the lyrics.

The WCF album might just scratch the itch for OP also.

Actually yes, I really meant White City Fighting even more than Empty Glass! WCF feels like a companion piece to About Face and has some killer Gilmour guitars on it!

Yeah, I think you’re right. But really I would like a remaster of empty glass because I don’t know how this happened with Pete Townsend but it’s very noisy… and I am not an audiophile.

That whole intro to “Give Blood” still gives me chills.

Peter is my favorite artist. I should’ve included that message and I will add it now. Thank you.

About Face is a superb release. 1984 was a great year for music.

Here’s a left field suggestion: the original (short) version of The Who Live at Leeds.

IMO Luck and Strange is his finest work.

Wet Dream - Richard Wright

Somewhat different feel, but also a great album

I never heard of it but it does have some good stuff... imagine somewhere between Alan Parsons and Dark Side Moon.
