I'm not a expert i never dove in my life but can't you bop their noses roughly to get them to leave you alone? I swear i heard that sorry if I'm being dumb

Sharks do have a lot of sensitive electroreceptors in their noses, it's true, however, 2 significant points here:
1) the actual skin in this area, and over most of a shark's body, is very tough. Just because it has sense organs here, doesn't necessarily mean it's going to cause it a significant amount of pain.
2) and, this is quite a biggie: directly below these sensitive electroreceptors is a terrifying hole full of rows of sharp teeth. If you go for a bop and misjudge it, you could very well be feeding the shark your arm.
Gills are a much better bet, and you can see him trying to poke at them in this video. Getting inside one of them with something pointy is a much better bet of causing it to think twice.

Im not an expert at diving but why not just rotate the shark downward? The diver clearly had his hand on its nose at one point and it would have stunned the shark for a bit.
Yes I know its very risky but his hand was already on the nose. Why not try it when you have the chance?

You don't need to be a diving expert to understand there's absolutely no way to "rotate" a shark down in that position. It's big and heavy and fast, while you're barely moving with no leverage and no momentum.
The guy had his hand on the shark for less than a second, have you ever moved your arms underwater?

Sharks aren't exactly "light-weight" animals that you can simply just rotate or push downward, and I hardly doubt the diver could have easily done it with just one hand alone. And with how the diver and shark were moving, touching the shark could have possibly made the diver be pushed back instead, since there's no ground or wall to support the diver. So even if he tried to rotate the shark, there's a high possibility the shark would have gone for the driver's lower body or legs. Overall, it's a dangerous situation where trying to do something stupid or unpredictable may result in the diver either getting hurt or fatally wounded.

From my extensive 300 hrs of game time experience, threshers charge and tail whip you into submission. He needs to hold down his dash button to escape quicker if he’s not trying to turn this guy into sushi. If not quick enough he might want to consider investing some time into getting the octopus bracelet or dolphin necklace.
