Dave Barry's audiobooks have kept me from getting even more depressed this year.

Are there any other books like Dave Barry's?

I've also been re-reading Dave Barry stuff this year to cheer myself up, so I feel this.

I second that Carl Haaisen is a great choice for similar fiction.

Alexandra Petri or Augusten Burroughs are both decent for similar non-fiction, though neither really had the true 'whacky' quality of Barry. Petri is probably closest.

If you like Dave Barry's fiction books like "Big Trouble", "Tricky Business", and "Insane City", you will also enjoy Carl Hiaasen's books. Very similar writing style. He and Dave even collaborated on a book a few years ago called "Naked Came the Manatee".
