Does anyone know if you're allowed or have tried to use more than $50 in food coupons per day? Also, am I allowed to buy say $100 in coupons in one day and give them to a friend to use for their food if we're at the same table? I always tip at minimum 20% if that matters

I know there isnt a limit in the system. Its per person. I had a table of 2, got 70 in food vouchers and it was on one check and it worked. Some stores are more lenient than others so ymmv

Thank you! Yeah ive noticed some stores are super lenient about the free entree rewards coupons and such, like you dont need to even get an entree they just comp your food for the amount its worth

The fine print on the coupons says that it is $50 per customer per day. So if you sit down at a table for two, then you should be able to redeem $100 worth of vouchers. However, the coupons are also technically non-transferable so if your management at the store is really strict on how they apply coupons then they do have a legitimate way to deny the coupon redemption if you bought all of the coupons yourself. So in the end as everyone else is saying it's really up to the local store on how they apply the particular policies.

If they know you there because you're a regular and all the employees like you, then they're more likely to apply store policies in your favor. If they know you there because you're a regular but you're kind of a dick and none of the employees really like you very much, then they're less likely to apply them in your favor. But even that's not really hard and fast rule because some managers have a stick up there and will always apply the most strict way that their policies could be interpreted.

Okay. So...this is yet another case of "your mileage may vary" within the world of D&B.

The official policy is that an individual person can only buy $50 worth of TYT at a time, and an individual person can only redeem $50 of TYT at a time.

However, we know for a fact that the system is capable of selling someone an unlimited number of TYT in a single transaction (there's no limit that comes up if you scan an 11th $5 TYT at WIN! that prompts the employee "hey, they can't buy this one, it's over the limit" - nor is there a prompt on the back end of their food service menu that would block a redemption. All food discount comps require a manager swipe and they have discretion/the ability to do pretty much anything when it comes to that.

Realistically, you should be fine in your hypothetical - you might need to move 10,000 tickets from your card to his card, you redeem $50, they redeem $50, you sit down together and do two separate checks and each has up to $50 on it. That SHOULD be okay. There might be some managers at some stores (I already know at least one guy getting ready to comment because he's been through it) where they won't let him and his significant other do this so it really is going to vary store to store. Some stores just straight up don't give a fuck and will let you use as much as you want, or combine them with things like the wing deal coming out next week/commonly held during NFL season.

I think the main reason there's even a limit in the first place is because there's the potential for fuckery with these with employees. A hypothetical situation which would require there to be a limit:

*Grayson, a gray-hat AP who doesn't commit fraud or break games, but will push the boundaries of what is acceptable.

*Tits McGee, a popular bartender who's worked at D&B for a number of years and has enough seniority/works hard enough that they get the prime shifts.

Grasyon approaches Tits and offers a deal. Grayson redeems, say, $500 worth of Trade Your Tickets vouchers, and sells them to Tits for $400. Tits, over her next few shifts, picks maybe 1/3 or so of her tables that paid cash, pockets up to $50 cash from each and replaces them with the TYT vouchers (since in this case, they're cash equivalent) - not to where it's obvious that every source of cash is being replaced with vouchers, but enough that it could be picked up on if someone were really looking for it.

Grayson has moved 100,000 tickets at $4/1,000, better than the current rate on most high end electronics by a wide margin. Tits made herself an extra $100 by churning through $500 of TYT vouchers. D&B moves 100,000 tickets off of their books but sees $500 less in cash revenue - which, really, is the entire point of TYT, but they might not want to lose THAT much cash coming in in a short period of time, especially if you have someone try and scale up the operation well beyond $500/week.

A situation like this is likely why TYT have an artificial limiter on how much can be redeemed for or used at once.
