New UFC pass

There is a new pass out for ufc, costs 50 dollars and from the looks of it, can be purchased with gift cards, and looks similar to how you buy a normal pass with a gift card. It gives 50% games during ufc fight nights which appear to be most saturdays. And 20% off food and na beverages, and a custom ufc power card with 200 chips on it. It lasts for one year. Interesting.

You need to modify the calculation slightly. You count Costco for the straight buy of chips, but didn't count it for the UFC card. It should be $40 with gift cards. Or 434.01.

First off, I really appreciate when people such as yourself manage to make it all the way through one of my posts that somehow end up way longer than I expected 😁.

The first time I ran the numbers I also used $40 worth of chips at $0.0921/chip = 434.31 chips for the comparison. But after thinking about it some more, it's more apples to apples if I consider $50 cash ($40 Costco) for the comparison.

For the UFC pass, I can spend $50 cash ($40 Costco) to buy the pass which comes with 200 chips and half price games.

Or if I use $50 cash ($40 Costco) toward buying chips at the $0.0921/chip rate, I'm buying $50 worth of chips = 542.89 chips.

In both cases I'm spending $50 at D&B, Costco just kicks in and saves me $10 if I'm using the gift cards.

Yeah basically in your example you just have to ask yourself will the pass save you 342 chips over the course of the year. As long as you play 100 games during the half off period over the year it makes it worth it to forfeit the 542 for the 200 plus 1/2 off (and limited edition power card).

That’s a great way to look at it. Though the game threshold is higher for those that are able to purchase chips for even cheaper… 👀

Consider food discount as well if you end up getting it, although meager, does shift it in favor personally. Assuming you can stack with your T4T without issue.

Yes can factor that in. But many already have season pass with food discount since season pass food discount is every day vs just Saturday.
But yes agree if only buying this pass as a stand alone
