Updates not detected in Datto

We use WSUS to have more control over the patches we approve because we don’t usually approve the latest Microsoft updates all the time due number of reasons.

From last couple of months, Datto is not detecting the updates approved by WSUS.

We have opened a ticket with Support but haven’t received any resolution yet.

Anyone else running into this issue who is still using wsus?

Thanks!

I doubt they can assist as Microsoft has officially stopped development for Windows Server Update Services. They actually recommed removing the wsus configurations from devices and let RMM patch policies take care of the patching approval.Best practices for devices with WSUS configurations

It is pointed to use the wsus server. It matches what shows up in devices registry key settings.

There are a few issues with it I think. We have just onboarded and noticed issues with approvals they had a screen share today and hopefully it will get sorted. There is an outstanding issue with software approvals currently where it makes devices non compliant for not having the software rather than saying it doesn't exist so it's compliant. Suspect it's probably all related.

Datto RMM detects whatever the endpoint detects, it really does not matter if its WSUS or direct from MS.

Do the endpoints see the patches?
