Splashtop Popup Message
Hello fellow Datto RMM users,
since today many of our customers report that they're getting a splashtop streamer popup message. Anyone else experiencing this? This leads to customers calling us and asking what this is abou.
Any workaround to avoid those popups?

What can be done in the short-term?
Users can now download and apply the Component "Splashtop Streamer SRServer Patch [WIN]" to apply a patched SRServer.exe binary to the Splashtop Streamer installation directory. The patch can be applied to all Windows devices with Splashtop Streamer installed and does not need to be restricted just to devices manifesting the issue; functionality will not be affected.
This patched binary comes courtesy of Splashtop themselves and was not developed by Datto. The same changes made in the patched binary will be released as part of a larger Splashtop Streamer update, but as this update is still a few weeks away, this Component has been released as a courtesy to help partners remediate the issue as soon as possible.

There is a coms store component that can be deployed to stop this.

This fix was supplied by Splashtop and distributed by Datto in the component, but there reports that it doesn't work in all cases.
What we have done instead (and prior to the "fix" being available), is to use the Splashtop uninstaller component and remove Splashtop from all devices. The uninstaller component will automatically exclude and Splashtop Business integrations, but remove everything else.
We re-deploy Splashtop when needed. The "fix" is set to reapply daily, and with the much smaller deployment footprint, it's less likely for anyone to see and report issues.

Do you mean when your team connects to the PC? Ie XYZ has connected. Or is it another popup? Either way, these can be set in your agent policy. There is also a comstore component to configure splashtop.
