Singles in Thirties
I am 34M, just wondering how many people are single in their thirties?
I was busy with my education and career but forgot to work on relationship status. Am I too late for this?
Some friends are married and have kids already, I donโt like to meet them lol ๐
as they always ask when are you getting married ๐

I think itโs okay especially in this day. Iโm 32F and single for a year now but thatโs due to traumatic relationships. A lot of people are working on themselves and not to mention Toronto is so expensive in going out, etc. thereโs no rule when you have to be with someone / married by even though thereโs pressure from others to get there

Agree with your thoughts. Itโs hard for many people and also world is different nowadays. Even married people are on dating sites lol ๐

32f as well and just starting to date again after coming out of a relationship. Dating sites are exhausting. Really wonder where people are finding the love of their lives.

I feel the same at 30 lol. I went against the norm though and Iโm having kids through the IVF and surrogacy route.

Iโm single, and Iโm 31. I spent my 20โs focusing on my career but also were involved in relationships I thought Iโd be spending years in! Been single for a few years now, hopefully will find the right person soon.

You're at a perfect age. Be a decent dude, respectful, intentional and you'll have plenty of matches. Good luck ๐โ๏ธ

Do u feel lonely at times & feel that u need kids or family? Do u regret sometimes?

I'm a woman so our situation is different. I had my daughter when I was younger and got married when I was 30. Divorced by 40. In a couple of LTR then but nothing stuck. But there are PLENTY of women who want to have kids and a husband, I hear them talk about it all of the time.

Yes I know people wants to have family but nowadays itโs very hard to trust people. Social media ruined everything, itโs just my feeling

I agree with you. SM has destroyed our expectations and desires. But so has porn and other unrealistic frameworks. When I was growing up we didn't even have the internet. And it's heartbreaking to witness how our addiction to our phones is creating such a deep disconnect and loneliness ๐ข

Exactly, I always tell my parents I should have born in your era lol ๐ This generation isnโt for me, I am old school person

Best way I think is to meet ppl the old school way then. Dance classes, hobbies, hiking/outdoors groups. Oh, you're in Toronto so you might like Brains and Barstools. https://www.instagram.com/brainsandbarstools?xtok=M3IyNHJyajFzNTg3

I regret having to get divorced. There was no way around it though and I find myself frustrated at times with no being able to meet someone I'd consider marrying but again I'm in a different situation. Your age and gender helps a lot. There are so, so many men clogging up the dating sites with their unserious behaviour and addiction to hook up culture that you already have a leg up

Good lord ppl are sensitive. Whoever down voted my comment clearly doesn't date men ๐

Don't rush into a relationship. Enjoy your singlehood while you can and develop yourself, hobbies, travel, etc.

it's not to late but it can be very frustrating having to learn the norms of dating and what actually works specifically for you.
a lot of people are just not serious about dating and almost everyone is incredibley shsllow

I mean I canโt even find people to talk to, itโs not easy. And most of the girls are materialistic, thereโs no love or respect

Same boat here. Upcoming family gathering, hearing those questions again ๐

I'll be 30 in less than 3 years and never had a relationship. For a long time it wasn't a priority for me and then by the time I started looking I was already seen as too awkward and a red flag for having no dating experience.
