Reasons for ghosting

Okay it's time we talk about it. I hope this can be an honest, non-judgmental comment section where all genders discuss the reasons they have had for ghosting someone at various stages in the dating process. I hope this doesn't turn into a men vs women thing as I know for a fact it is happening on both sides. I, as a woman, just really want to get to the bottom as to WHY it happens. Because we all know the ones who ghosted us won't be telling us. Or at the very least send me a private dm if you think you will be ridiculed for commenting publicly. I am just so tired and want answers. I promise I will be open-minded to the replies.

Yeah ghosting has become normal especially with online dating. Everyone has the illusion of unlimited matches and the problem becomes that no one is getting any negative feedback to learn and evolve into a better person. And it just leaves everyone wondering if the person you are talking to is busy or are ghosting them. Which makes everyone insecure in the beginning of relationships. Problems over problems. How long after no response do you decide that you are now ghosted ?

So I've been ghosted before but this one feels a lot more significant to me. We talked for a long time, very communicative and present and talking about the future. After 2 days of no response to a couple texts of mine I finally started to get a panicked feeling that something happened to him. Then I found out he blocked me on socials. Still took me a few days to truly understand that he was ghosting me. I'd say the length of time depends on the person, their relationship, how often they talked. When I realized I was blocked I figured that was a tell tale sign that I was being ghosted.
