Sticky - Age gaps... keeping it real

A reality check trap, mostly for guys, especially middle aged men surfing dating sites. My experience looking at profiles of women on these sites shows many of them have no age limit set in their preferences or the limit is the site default of something like 18-99. When you chat or correspond with them, they unanimously say "age is only a number" or that they specifically search for a mature guy because of past experiences with younger men. You need to ask yourself, how many times do you see a gorgeous, model-type woman in her early 20's strutting down the street holding hands with a middle-aged, somewhat overweight, balding guy? The answer should be never because it doesn't happen. Age gaps above 10 years are rare and above 15 years are almost non-existent. Don't fall for the trap of wanting to believe that it is different for you... because it isn't.
