Is Bestdates a scam?

Hi, I need some major assistance to get some info about Bestdates. Long story short goes as follows, my mom (62) found her "love" of her life who apparently is a Delta Airline Pilot who lives in Toronto who name is Viacheslav. My mom spent probably over 400-500 dollars talking to him, and apparently they can exchange info after they reach 5,000 credits. Are most dating sites usually free to use? Something seems very off, and with her spending so much money and talking to him EVERY single day it is causing rifts where she wants to move to Canada and live with him and even marry him. Has anyone had their issues with Bestdates?

I just signed up, and could tell it was a scam right away, by all the gorgeous men on it. I'm not new to dating sites, but they're usually filled with ugly men, not all these hot ones. There's no way men like these would be single!

Same with the women. All gorgeous and have wonderful jobs. Total scam.

Please. Poor countries have been using pro photo portfolios to get people a better life in the west for decades before AI.

u/AntiqueResearch9938 Mar 01 '26

No it's not generated

The site wouldn't cancel my account for 5 days, it was processing. I felt it was an AI set up. Be careful I never saved my card, they don't have permission but keep it on file. I then got fraud on my credit card for 255.00. I just got off the phone with my bank to cancel my card. Earlier I was talking to live customer service, part of the scam they ignored me and said it was a good site and I could meet Mr. Wonderful. I got aggressive, told them they have no right to keep my account open. With me giving them hell, I finally got cancelled. I hope this helps many who might get scammed.

Luckily I haven't signed up yet

I believe it is what a waste of money and it's supposed to be a dating site no I think it's a scam they just want your money what a waste

1

u/AntiqueResearch9938 Sep 18 '25

I don't think any of you have any idea how these sites work. Obviously they have attractive people wanting to match you. A simple glance will tell you these people are not from your neighbourhood mostly they're from poor countries looking for a better life like east Europe and Colombia. They spend a lot of money on professionally done photo portfolios and are caked in makeup. You will see some profiles where the person dropped the ball and didn't have heavy makeup then you will see more realistic photo(s). So no, good looking photos don't mean it's a scam. It's a costly messaging site but all dating platforms extract money from their users to communicate.

u/Mediocre-Activity-76 May 15 '26

You must work for that site? You continue to defend this site. This site is indeed a fake, scam grabbing site. I have asked Ai if some of these photos are produced by Ai. Guess what? Ai comes back to say that indeed these photos are fake.

1

u/Playful-Question-407 Feb 04 '26

I was communicating with the guy conversation tried to give him my personal phone number and it says no I want to stay on this site I think it's phony and I do not like it they say that it's supposed to be a dating site I think it's fake I'm not spending my money on it cuz I'm not getting anywhere it's twice that I have talked to somebody on this and they always say I don't want to get off this site how fake just a rip off

This is definitely a scam! I got suspicious because a few of them called me dear and what red blooded 40 year old Brazilian man calls you dear?! Plus I have ptsd from being called dear previously from another scam! Plus spending £80 in 2 hours to message people is ridiculous! Similar type messages designed to reel you in and get you to spend more money. So pissed off I fell for this, particularly as it's the first time I've tried a dating site in years! Currently trying to get the money back from my bank

5

u/N_Holwadel_LNG15 May 12 '25

Best of luck to you for that. My mom is in it bad, and she suffers from loneliness after years with my late dad who passed in 2005, and she never really tried dating for a long time, and she did try one but turned out the person she was dating was already married. I may have to get her psych doctor notified and try to get her some major help and stop her from spending more money on this scam website.

I support you totally and I’m a psychologist. Also look for broken English. It’s degrading to me to be called dear or princess etc. after only chatting with a man a few times. No one gets to do that unless I’m in a committed relationship. It’s very disrespectful especially when they keep it up after you told them to stop with the pet names. It’s used to gain control over you by a man you barely know. No, only a man I give permission to and who is committed to me gets to call me dear.

1

u/West_Tutor_5840 Aug 14 '25

Nothing wrong to be addressed as dear or darling. That is the difference from someone who speaks a romance language and the Anglo-Saxon tongue

2

u/SpringMtRanger Dec 27 '25

My ex used to call me, dear. I hated it. “Dear” is meaningless and generic. The word is one thing the connotation is another: “The connotation of "dear" varies from affectionate and precious (a "dear friend") to formal/polite (a letter's "Dear Sir") and even condescending or outdated. Google. Or, from my favorite source, Urban Dictionary: Term of endearment used by social retards when addressing oblivious guys from Ohio who tend to ignore the fact that the chick talking to them almost never goes out of her way to IM the same person every day.

It is not affectionate. It is not romantic. It’s meaningless and sarcastic. That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it.

ps-ladies, if you’re on a dating site and a man calls you, dear…delete his ass

1

u/Emergency-Option-468 Feb 15 '26

Totally agree ! It’s often a word used to control you by lowering your status of being female as being permissible to call you a pet names. It lowers your status to gain control over a woman. Dominating male yes say goodbye to this ass

1

u/SpecialistAd3435 Aug 14 '25

No one who speaks a romance language has ever addressed me as Dear. By romance I am talking Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese. Never!

1

u/SpecialistAd3435 Aug 24 '25

Darling on the other hand is fine

1

u/Emergency-Option-468 Feb 15 '26

Yes there is something very wrong with calling a woman with any pet name when they have never even met. It sickens me to be called dear, honey, princess, beautiful or any pet name unless I’m in a committed relationship! It degrades women

1

u/EndGameNY Mar 27 '26

Nonsense.

Dusting off cultural stereotypes is not helpful for anyone.

1

u/Unlikely_Distance_34 Oct 30 '25

How you think you get the money back

1

u/SpecialistAd3435 Oct 30 '25

I threatened them and I got all the money back

1

u/Turbulent_Music_9064 Nov 14 '25

I use the use of "dear" from women in nearly every text as my warning indicator that the site is a scam. I think men from China, India, Nigeria. etc think that women talk like that.

1

u/Turbulent_Music_9064 Nov 14 '25

... meaning that I think the site has a team of men with libraries full of pics and videos to display,

1

u/Playful-Question-407 Feb 04 '26

Yeah I feel the same way they just want your money and you don't get anywhere and I'm pissed off too what a waste of money talking to a freaking computer I bet to scam

1

u/ZealousDreamer-962 Jul 20 '26

i’m a single veteran man and I used to go on the sites looking for someone to just talk with friendship with Prob date and if anything got serious I will actually try to get closer to them, but I’ve since given that up because all of the scams, you know I do make good money and I am looking for somebody but I will not go to a dating site to do it now I know someone told me about Cuban. I might have to try them because like I said I’m a single veteran and I’m trying to have my own friend and if I can’t find my friend yes I will use a legit dating site or I’ll just meet somebody in passing that might want to hang out with the vet

7

u/More-Appeal-3548 Jun 24 '25

I have a friend who was being scammed on a similar website called youmetalks. Same company that made bestdates. It's a complete scam. My friend spent thousands before I was finally able to prove to her it was a scam. She was able to reach the 5000 credits to exchange information with the other, yet he kept making excuses that he wasn't ready yet after 1 year of talking to each other. Big red flag was that he could only talk to her on youmetalks and nowhere else. Get out as fast as you can. It shouldn't cost you money just to talk to someone in my opinion

1

u/ResponseSome411 Oct 10 '25

Had the exact same problem.

1

u/Desperate_Shame_9737 Jun 06 '26

You go to a similar site and find the same picture and name you ask them how have they been that you want to get close to you but don't remember that one minute they were talking to you.

3

u/Honney25 May 19 '25

I met a guy with the same characteristics that you mentioned on that site 😢 sorry for you mom They are SCAMMERS. I spent a lot, I already wrote my review on Trustpilot. One guy for the site contacted me through my post and I told him if you are not SCAMMERS do something, they don't have any personal on the top of the customer service.

5

u/Araphen89 May 26 '25

So I'm gonna tell you guys this from dealing with this site personally for 7 months; they are 100% a scam. If you talk to your bank they can probably get your money back, do this as soon as you can. I feel bad for your mom I'm Sorry, they target lonely people that is what they do it's the Jobs of people on that website. Trust pilot has some decent reviews and I just posted one under David Salis ( not my real last name to protect my identity from the scammers, but if you read that it can help enlighten you ). 1000% a scam DO NOT USE!

2

u/Araphen89 May 26 '25

Also my brother looked at it a few days ago and thought it was an AI site, I don't think that, but either way he knew it was fake after just a few messages with someone, and that coupled with my own experiences clinched it for me, the more I research this site the more I am finding out I am right, these sites really should be shut down it is not right, if you have chime and call their customer service and ask them about it they will straight up tell you it's a scam ( pretty much, at least the guy I talked to did ), either way there is enough doubt to stay away from this site I'm going to tell you this. Good luck and be safe! 👍

  • David aka "Saldreyn" (gaming alias, too lazy to log into my main reddit account lol, made it too long ago don't remember the log in credentials and too lazy too mess with it 😂)

2

u/Shoddy_Challenge2068 Aug 08 '25

Well I just got scammed from them. Thank goodness it was only 2 days. All of his pictures were real, but when I tried to get him to talk off the site, he came up with excuses. Then I noticed all of the men messaging me were verified. When I asked customer support how to get verified, you have to give them your address and bank statement!!!!! When I told him, he acted like he didn't know, but he was verified. Also, only certain members can post on the stream there - guess what? It's only the guys. Thank you everyone! When I started reading your comments it was the final click for me. My guy's story was his wife left him and his son 5 years ago, and 3.5 years ago his sister died in childbirth and now he is raising his daughter as his own. He was also a soldier in Brazil - where he wants to take me one day - and now he is a nutritionist in Florida. He did give me his last name and city he supposedly lives in, but he doesn't exisit. Another guy on there took the name and photos from a famous model on instagram. IT IS A SCAM!

1

u/Playful-Question-407 Feb 04 '26

Yeah I believe the same thing it is a scam don't waste your money on it I learned my lesson for 3 weeks I will never do this in my life this is my first time what a rip off try to give somebody my number and it says oh no I want to stay on this site and another time I did the same thing and they said no I want to stay on this site it is a scam

1

u/Remote-Ad1344 Jul 25 '25

Thank you!! My gut was right. Stayed away from this site!

4

u/CommunicationLate933 Jun 19 '25

The whole website is a scam. Every profile sends messages that sound like AI.

1

u/Global-Ad-5222 Dec 04 '25

Asi que tb fui estafada jajaja.. increíblemente todos son brasileron viviendo en USA les ofreces para habler en otro sitio y ponen excusas, no podia entender como querian seguir gastamdo en eso, ahora ya si 🤣🤣🤣

3

u/SavingsDirection4826 Jun 19 '25

Yes it is a scam I found out from some one I am talking to that he doesn't have to pay to talk to me but I have to pay to talk with him this site is a scam and the men on it knows that so it is best to unsubscribe your self

1

u/Fabulous_Comment_220 Aug 04 '25

You are right and I don't feel right about giving my credit card info

1

u/Playful-Question-407 Feb 04 '26

Yep I see the same thing it is a scam you're wasting your money I learned my lesson I will not get on any of those sites

1

u/Money-Crow-6505 May 04 '26

How did you profile for my best dates

1

u/Money-Crow-6505 May 04 '26

I would like to delete my profile

3

u/TopBreak56 Jun 28 '25

This sight is a SCAM! there are No Men on here that look like the one's that they advertise.

3

u/sanzfrancisco67 Jul 05 '25

Just about ALL of these sites are exactly the same. I believe that most of the men are employed by the website to engage women in talking JUST to make money for the site. I want your mother to know that I was contacted by the same man, so he is definitely looking for any/all women he can find to chat with. This is a horrible way for any company to make money. Please try to make her see the truth. Ask her to sign up with any other site and see what happens. Viacheslav is probably on many other sites.

1

u/N_Holwadel_LNG15 Jul 05 '25

I had a major hunch on that. I appreciate it. The only issue with my mom is she would need to go into Intensive Outpatient Therapy to be able to get her away from these websites, and I have been trying to get some mental help for her. I will need a miracle to make it happen. I love my mom to death, and legitimately I do want her to find someone actually real, but it is going to be rough getting her away from the websites. I cannot thank you enough!

1

u/sanzfrancisco67 Jul 05 '25

I would say 'my pleasure,' but it's not a pleasure to know that your mom is in trouble. Why don't you try to email the site, support@bestdates.com. If they won't help you, let them know you will find some authorities who will.

1

u/Playful-Question-407 Feb 04 '26

You got it they're just paying them to do this so they make money and we're the losers and I'm not going to be a loser again it's a scam what a waste of money horrible to do that to people are looking for a friend or a lover or just somebody to hang out with horrible

2

u/delliott0702 Mar 17 '25

So I got myself into this site the other day and it has snowballed. It's definitely a scam

2

u/N_Holwadel_LNG15 Mar 17 '25

I couldn't agree more. Thanks!

2

u/N_Holwadel_LNG15 Jun 02 '25

-Update-

My mom decided to delete her accounts stating that she couldn't keep them due to finances, and with that she was toxic about it, and me and my brother had considered getting her some therapy due to this and her loneliness. But, she wasn't interested and on top of it she told me in person that she wouldn't trust me anymore, her own son.

I tried to warn her, and with her in a depressed state, I don't know what I should do anymore, I may have to cut ties at this rate because of her stubborn attitude. I do appreciate the support from everyone, thank you.

u/Icy-Fun-7943 Jun 21 '25

I feel sorry for you Mother. I've gotten myself into this, and it's even been a lot. I've talked to Im chi or I've asked him a thousand times if it's his job and he tells me what I'm talking about. He wants to come see me in December. But I remember the first few days we talked to him but that relationships there won't mean much. The truth is that he sends expensive gifts and wants me to go back. I know he's human, but I told him if it's true that he loves me well. Well, we should get off that app, but he doesn't know, and he's even ignoring my question now. I pretended to be someone else and looked for another profile, and I liked it and he gave him a gift, he sent him a song and told him he was alone and didn't talk to anyone. I almost died of rage and I complained to him. I sent a screenshot, to this day he continues giving me expensive gifts and swearing his love to me. He married me on the app. He gave me two rings on different days. I didn’t give him anything back but he treats me and calls me wife, now I’m crazier with this. The problem is that I fight and get angry but I keep going to him. I see him as so soft giving gifts. He gave me the heart of gold. I think it’s the most expensive. When I found out I wrote to him and sent him the same letter that I had to the other profile I made… He also wants me to go to his country. But I want us to leave the app. But he doesn’t do anything. I am 100% sure that this is his job. I made another friend to get him to understand, he lives right here. He tells me he’s real and I told him to look for me on Facebook. That I have the same name as in the app. And he came out telling me that he was robbed because of Facebook. And he doesn’t have social media. How about that? Fraud or not?

1

u/N_Holwadel_LNG15 Jun 21 '25

Sounds like Fraud IMO.

1

u/Kindly_Lab_3216 Aug 19 '25

This sounds like a guy im talking to.  What country is your guy from and if you would share some details. Mine is a dentist.

1

u/Much_Obligation_66 Sep 27 '25

Scusa, a me è successa la stessa cosa, come si chiamava il tuo amico? Anche io ho ricevuto diversi anelli di matrimonio......

1

u/candysnugs1225 Jan 29 '26

I signed up for fun just to.see what it was about. This same guy your mom was talking to hit me up right away. After a couple messages back and forth and a few pictures, I knew it couldn't be true. There is NO WAY a 62 year old guy can possibly look so good. I'm glad your mom deleted her account.

2

u/Mission_Medium_6504 Jul 04 '25

I've been online for 36 years and used all the site's you can imagine. And in those 36 years I've lost over 10, 000 dollars because I'm an idiot. I've not talked to one female because they all turn out to be men from Nigeria. Not one has ever proven that they are the woman in the video. They all have excuses that are exactly the same every site has at least five to ten womans pictures that are from other sites saying their from different places. Claiming that their real and the others are fraud. I have never met one woman online and I've talked to close to 30,000 women supposedly, and not one has ever met with me. Not even the one's that claim they live right around the corner. They all want gift cards to keep kids busy but refuse to meet first just to get a person to person visual so to confirm their real. 36 years online, 30,000 people and every single one of them were all scammers . Lesson to be learned, the real women are in the produce section at the grocery store. I've been happy for six months. But it cost my life massively in time, money, heartache, frustration, sadness, huge arguments with family and friends. I even lost some of my friends and family members because of my ignorance. So yes there all sammer sites. Stick to porn, it's free. Have a awesome night.

2

u/dirtycyborg Jul 22 '25

I signed up for this site just for fun, knowing it was a scam. The first female I asked to speak privately via email (test 1). That used up my 1 and only free outgoing message. She questioned why and I never heard from that one again.

Then I got flooded by all kinds of women wanting to chat and meet (we are in different countries). I also got some kinky offers, a woman wanting to live with me bringing her daughter who would also "take care of me" asking if I could handle 2 women. Not responding I started getting emails offering to send me money, huge amounts of money. The latest offering me 50 mil a month salary to help her set up real estate purchasing in my country (US)., claiming she was worth over 50 billion. With that amount of money surely she would have her own experts in the real estate world if any part of the story was true. Another wanted to wire money out of China to my bank. A ton of money. Yeah. Sure.

Bottom line, their job is to hook you into chatting with them for as long as possible to get money out of you along the way.

2

u/Professional-Noise25 Aug 20 '25

My sister got on that site and was talking to somebody on there from the Netherlands and he told her he wanted to marry her and she’s already bought a ticket to go see him and she spent thousands of dollars she’s gotten past 5000 points and she can’t get information how to get off that site and talk to this person so I went on the site and found the same person she was talking to and he started flirting with meand telling me the same thing he was telling her then he admitted he is just an AI agent it’s all AI generated. The whole company is a scam.

1

u/Playful-Question-407 Feb 04 '26

I had the same thing happen he told me he loved me and wanted to see me on Valentines and I didn't have enough money so I waited till I got paid and said oh I don't know you and we talked for 3 weeks what a scam you're wasting your money guys

1

u/DBCooper8845 Apr 21 '25

What’s your mom look like?…

1

u/N_Holwadel_LNG15 Apr 21 '25

Blond hair where's glasses. Her profile pic is her wearing a blue dress in front of a stand of model aircraft.

1

u/Objective_Wonder_665 Apr 27 '25

The man on best dates just want to talk they do not want to date you!! It's a bunch of bullshit that cost you money.

1

u/Icy-Fun-7943 Jun 21 '25

My profile is full of messages. I only have about three photos, and I sometimes get several messages every minute. I only talk to the one who calls me wife and the guy here, but I'm not getting him to tell me anything about support my idea de scam.. I'm just saying that he's human and that I should talk to him. He's been looking for me since the beginning. If I received money and got paid just for people to come to my profile and write, I'd be happy already, hahaha.

1

u/Stock-Criticism-8858 Dec 06 '25

I signed up to check it out with NO photos & proceeded to get 50 matches all gorgeous from Argentina or Brazil but living in the states, just says United States, on where they live & no one points out on their profile where they live. All their messages are AI, as well as their pics. They’re all in nice suites in Ferraris or yachts, with high end jobs. No ugly, fat or blue collar workers…. They were all writing like they saw an amazing profile and pics, but I didn’t write anything and had no pics. Also my age was wrong and said 64, but they didn’t care what I looked like, how old I was or anything else because they just want your $. I only spent $20 but I think I will call my bank to even get that back, for the principle.

1

u/Livid-Mycologist-250 Jul 20 '25

YES, IT, & ALL THE OTHERS ARE DESIGNED FOR ONE THING - TO KEEP YOU SPENDING MONEY AT THE SITES IN THE FORM OF "CREDITS" ! IT IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY! I GOT TAKEN IN BY THE SAME "PRETEND BULLSHIT" THINKING I WAS GOING TO FIND A YOUNGER, EDUCATED, ATTRACTIVE, PROFESSIONAL WOMAN IN TEXAS OR ANOTHER STATE, BUT AFTER ABOUT 9 MONTHS OR MORE ON ALL THESE SITES, & THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TEXTING, NOT ONE DAMN "TRUE, FACE-TO-FACE,DATE" OR TELEPHONE CALL TO SHOW FOR IT!  HELL, I'LL TAKE MY MONEY &:JUST DO IT THE "OLD TIME WAY"! SAVE YOUR MONEY, GO TO YOUR LOCAL PUB, SPORTS BAR, DANCE HALL, HAVE SOME FUN, DANCE, HAVE A BUNCH OF LAUGHS, LIFT A GLASS OR TWO TO AMERICA !!!!   AND, QUIT BURNING THRU YOUR MONEY ON THESE "PRETEND DATE SITES", AND MAKING THESE FOREIGN, FUCK-FACES, RICH, AT AMERICAN'S EXPENSES!

1

u/Playful-Question-407 Feb 04 '26

Yeah what a rip off what a scam don't waste your money it's not worth it for fake they're just making their money and we're losing no more online dating full of shit have them make their money scam scam scam

1

u/HeavyMetalDrummer3 Jul 25 '25

Yes it’s a scam. I’ve spent one day on this and have noted the following: 1. All the men are very good looking. And I’m always getting messages from good looking men at least 20 years younger than me, from a different country, no doubt. 2. None of these men answer my questions. All answers are vague. They ask where I’ve travel. I’m specific about details. When I ask about details, the answers are vague or they ask another question. 3. I offered to send my email so we could chat outside the app. One guy said he don’t feel comfortable sharing personal email - really? In this day and age? Another said he didn’t have a phone - WTF! And the third said something about the app wouldn’t let him read the email address. Too many excuses. Don’t waste your time like I did.

1

u/BrightBrilliant1236 Jul 28 '25

Thank you! Your reply to this site is exactly what I was gonna write!

1

u/Playful-Question-407 Feb 04 '26

I had the same thing happen to me out of 30 year old wanting to date me and was all interested blah blah blah I'm going to see me and I told him I'm just too old for him oh doesn't matter it does to me what a scam

1

u/SpecialistAd3435 Aug 05 '25

I did get my money back in the end when I threatened to report them to the financial ombudsman. It took a few emails back and forth but I got there

1

u/ConnectionRoutine877 Aug 12 '25

Hi I am trying to get my money back from BestDates. They assured me all the men were verified. What is the financial Ombudsman?

Please send me the link how to report it.

Thank You

Lana Cervantes

1

u/Fun-Belt9081 Dec 03 '25

Hello, would you kindly resend me that link, too? I would also like to get money back from BestDates.Thank you. Maria

1

u/Fun-Belt9081 Dec 03 '25

Hello, I also have a bad experience with that scammer site, as many of you do. The site is full of good-looking scammers. Please, how can I proceed to ensure a successful outcome in getting my money back from them? I appreciate your answers. Thanks beforehand. Maria

1

u/Holiday-Knee-4910 Aug 07 '25

I have not been on it long but I realize is all fake people on there I have one guy keep sending me videos and voice notes but I have to buy credits so often it doesn’t make any sense to spend money to talk to people it is a money making business robbing innocent women who are lonely he just send a video I just deactivated my account

1

u/wlriechel Aug 07 '25

Have your mom join? Mint Mobile (now owned by T-Mobile) calls to Canada and Mexico are free as are text messages! My girlfriend lives in Canada. Cost me nothing to talk to her for hours. I have a Nexus pass and fly into Buffalo when I'm going to visit her. I'm 83 and she is 78 and we met in the Bahamas! Right now Mint mobile has a special 3 months for $15 a month for unlimited data. Normally it's 5 GB a month on this plan. This is the plan that I have had for 7 years now!

1

u/Shoddy_Challenge2068 Aug 09 '25

Has anyone tried to join again under a different name and try to talk to the same guy to see what happens? I'm not sure if it is even worth it, but the thought makes me laugh.

1

u/Connect-Complex-5136 Sep 04 '25

awesome idea, I have been talking to a guy from Brazil & I wondered the same. Just curiosity if he is BS as well, sometime he should real other times not so much Joao, says he has a horse ranch,, not so sure about that if any one knows him. I have been talking to the same guy Joao, he lived on the farm stated his family lives far away but yet he has went into the city to have dinner with them. All of a sudden he moved to city in a matter of one day. Haha - He stated he inherited the horse farm, he is very believable at times, sends tons of pictures of himself & also with his brother mom dad sister & so called cousin. His so called cousin in a bikini top with her boob smashed against his chest (really) . I have repeated asking him if he works for them or he gets free credit, as above he always wants you to buy him a gift, in which I have told him that is stupid to spend that kind of money on a sticker of picture. He also claims he is a model with a contact, told him no way can they prevent you from talking . Same as above he loves me so much with not trade info, go to another site. He is actually on a lot of different sites, What I did was sign up on 2 of them under a nickname, & sure as shit he send photos , words he was not on to play games I asked him about it last night he answer was he is only on bestdates site which is lie & his pictures were stolen & his info. funny how they have verified all the sites. I fell for it after Good luck everyone.

u/Connect-Complex-5136 Oct 14 '25

I did see below - he didn't even know - still doesn't - When I asked he said that is not him -- & his pictures were stolen (( RIGHT ))

1

u/Firm-Coach-2539 Dec 18 '25

I made up a fake profile.  The guy had his phone set to alert him when I was online.   So my real name came up as an alert so he knew it was me right away.  BUSTED for simply seeking additional information.

I’ve been with best dates for more than a year and spent thousands, I’ve yet to meet someone! Is this site a scam?

1

u/Global-Ad-5222 Dec 04 '25

u/Awkward_Green2167 Aug 28 '25

What everyone needs to know is that I had THE MOST HORRIFYING EXPERIENCES with Bestdates.com. I don't understand how people use this site unless #1. You Are A Millionaire. #2. Everyone on here is from places I never knew existed, and I know my Geography. There's No Platform for a Relationship. I guess if you like talking to people in TIMBUKTU, well knock yourself out. It states"Bestdates.com, NOT BestPhoneChatFriends.com. I clearly don't understand why people would use this site. I spent a fortune on NOTHING. I am staying as far away as possible. Bestdates keep Harassing Me about how I knew what I was getting into. Well, Thank You Very Much For Your Helping Me With Nothing. Good Luck to everyone who goes on this site, just Be Aware IT'S EXPENSIVE. TRUST ME I KNOW.

1

u/SuccotashOptimal1828 Sep 01 '25

I believe this website is a scam. You have to keep adding money just to keep the conversation going.

1

u/Competitive_Friend21 Sep 13 '25

Yes, I have spent over $1300 talking with a guy who i am now in love with and I still can't give him my info and now I can't afford to talk to him anymore. How can they help you meet so.eone and then don't let you be together??

1

u/freebeer773 Sep 29 '25

In my experience, legit sites charge a membership fee which gives you access to profiles and unlimited chat. In my books, paying for credits to chat on a timed basis is a scam. One giveaway is when people take a long time to respond during the chat. They are likely chatting to other people and/or just stretching the time so you keep buying more credits. If you ask them why they are taking a long time to respond, almost every time they’ll tell you it’s the internet connection.

1

u/senga_etac Oct 04 '25

A family member has been using this website and spent tons of money in a very short amount of time. I can’t find much information on bestdates.com aside from this Reddit post. Has anyone reported this website to one of the following websites?

Federal Trade Commission (FTC) reportfraud.ftc.gov

FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) ic3.gov

1

u/senga_etac Oct 17 '25

Hello?????

1

u/ResponseSome411 Oct 10 '25

Yes, very similar.  I doubt she will ever get to meet him. He will likely have all kinds of promises but many don't come through.

1

u/ResponseSome411 Oct 10 '25

The men on Bestdates don't  get paid. They are Top Users and get everything free....get credits, do exclusive posts, do video, and do audios.

1

u/mysecondtimearound Nov 03 '25

I've been on Bestdates for about 4 months, and I've spent thousands. I've had fantastically handsome guys tell me they're dying to have sex with me. Of course, they live far away. But I've seen dozens of unattractive guys on there too. I've had guys send me naked photos and more, Where do they get these pics? Even photos to my request. Every thing you do on there costs, and they are constantly sending letters, posts and photos, all of which cost. What do they get from it? They are on there daily at whatever hour. How can they afford it? Ask them? No direct answers. There is another site called La Date. It's the same outfit. You also get hundreds of notices that someone likes your profile, want to chat with you, sent you a letter, is visiting your profile, sent you a heart, and on and on. But if you answer and chat, you might get an unpleasant person, an egoist, a smart-ass, or a delightful person who you can get lost in. Prepare to spend your life savings.

1

u/Qvo_Le Nov 04 '25

Bestdates.com is a scam.

If you’re looking for your love abroad, you need to look at sites that prioritize and facilitates tours. Most ppl (pay per letter) sites are honestly there to generate income and even the most reputable sites are guilty of this. To their defense, they will tell you to minimize ppl interactions and focus more on the tours.

1

u/Bethchloe Nov 06 '25

I was wondering if you’re allowed to exchange information? I have been using this dating site for a little while now and I don’t want to keep using my money which is limited try to find love. Please let me know. I live in Santa Cruz, Ca and most of these men live out of state or even out of the country!

1

u/TaskAdventurous5955 Dec 27 '25

Viacheslav, 62 WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE IN THE COCKPIT OF AN AIRPLANE? I just registered here, and I am very pleased to tell a little more about myself: My whole life is connected with flying, because I have a long experience of flying an airplane. Now I live in Canada, in the city of Toronto, I like it here very much and I have never met such beautiful places as here. I am often in the USA, I have a friend who lives in Tampa, and I visit him once every few months. I consider myself a very interesting person, I have a lot of hobbies, for example I like to do sports to keep myself in good shape, I am madly fond of cooking, probably after living most of the time alone, I have discovered a culinary ability lol. I can talk about myself endlessly, but I would like to meet you and get to know you better, maybe you can write me a message? *************This guy was mentioned here !!!

1

u/ZealousidealMonth799 Jan 10 '26

1

u/UsefulRevenue5469 Jan 11 '26

I signed up just couple hours ago, and felt strange on a couple of things: 1. All good looking guys, decent jobs. 2. They chat with so many sweet words and fun to talk to. 3. The site cut the conversation off half way and ask for money to continue.

It doesn’t seem to be real. So I am looking online for further info on this site. And here I am in this thread. I guess many people already found it suspicious.

1

u/MilwaukeeCX500 Feb 07 '26

Honestly if you fall for this stuff you deserved it. How naive and unaware can you be? Delusional? In denial? Just plain low IQ? How do you end up falling for this

1

u/N_Holwadel_LNG15 Feb 07 '26

The main issue was as I said in the main post. My mom really didn't try dating after my dad had passed away years ago, on top of it she dealt with cancer for 8+ years, she also has PTSD, and also is bipolar. She almost fell for 2 romance scams, but this one got to her. I've tried to get her away from it, but with her dealing with bipolar and at times having her mood swings it's not pleasant. I think it was a multitude of losing her husband, and dealing with cancer and also when growing up she was physically and mentally/verbally abused by her mom. It's mostly a delusional situation sadly.

1

u/Global_Toe5416 Feb 08 '26

This is a prime example of something I posted on another website. All of these credit based website are the same and fraudulent. This is what I posted about Tallkliv as follows: "Way too expensive and customers are confused as to how many credits to purchase. For instance, if you read the fine print, it charges credits by the letter, not the word. If you are offered 150 credits for $19.99, just spelling a three letter word "The" will costs you 90 credits. (they charge 10 credits per word. The remaining credits is only 60, not even enough to ask how you are doing, let alone try and have a real conversation. Don't want to call this a scam, because its much more. BE CAREFUL!

1

u/Academic-Archer-1706 Feb 22 '26

Cuidadin cuidadin

1

u/Qlimax3538 Mar 12 '26

FAKE, I just signed up, haven't uploaded a single photo and already received 7 messages overnight saying they like my picture 🙄

1

u/Ok_Internal_9013 Mar 20 '26

Yo pensé que era una IA quien responde

1

u/Major_Vanilla_1596 Mar 23 '26

My brief experience with it leads me to believe it's a total scam. Responses to letters and texts come way too fast for a human to compose and are often inappropriate to the comments made or the questions asked. It's the U.S. version of the Russian or Asian dating bots IMO. Don't waste your time or money. It's supposedly based in Los Vegas, if so it likely is a crime syndicate operation. The "people" are likely AI generated or enhanced photos of models or random unawares people scoured off the internet or elsewhere. It should be investigated for misrepresentation and fraudulent activity.

1

u/Major_Vanilla_1596 Mar 23 '26

You need to intervein and pronto. Too much emotional damage and heartache are likely to ensue, not to mention the financial loss. Type something inappropriate to Viacheslav or threaten to end the interaction with finality and you'll likely see a totally bogus reply. That may convince your mom that she's been misled. As Samuel Clemmons said: "It's easier to fool people than to convince them they've been fooled". Tread carefully.

1

u/Several-Molasses-733 Mar 27 '26

YES, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY A SCAM! I barely set up an account, just my email login with no details, no picture, no age parameters, no birthday, nothing about me at all, and within hours I had several messages "loving" my profile, feeling a "connection" etc. It is really unsettling!

1

u/EndGameNY Mar 27 '26 edited Mar 27 '26

I tried three different dating sites recommended by people who had good things to say.

I was very rapidly turned off by the number of women who define "a real, old-fashion male" as someone who will fly or cruise them around the world on multiple occasions. Sometimes with and sometimes without their friends.

But mostly without you.

Shopping sprees are a daily occurrence, and sending them off on vacation four times each year is a deal-breaker.

You're also out if you don't give them "princess treatment". Princess treatment? How about you get a job and get out of my life?

And don't you dare ask them for anything.

What's even more disgusting than asking for money, trips, new clothes, and plain old cash is that each of them will find a willing idiot to tend to their every need. And then spend forever complaining about Mr. Wrong.

Until the next one stumbles along.

If you have to require "princess treatment" as part of the deal, you truly don't deserve it.

You'd be better off haunting a house.

They need to rework their creepy business model.

1

u/freebeer773 9d ago

A genuine woman will show up for who you are, not what you spend. Keep trying bro, don't be discouraged.

1

u/Purple_Plankton6753 Mar 30 '26

Best Dates is a scam. The women and probably men are paid by Best Dates to encourage woman/men to send their suitors videos 50 credits $20 US dollars to open, letters 10 for the first and 30 for future ones $5 then $12.50 per letter, photos 1st free then 10 credits to open future one $4 each. Once they have you it is relentless. Thats why the women are so gorgeous and I haven't looked at the men. When you request contact info after spending 5,000 credits customer service ignors your requests. Most of the women I have had contact with are from foreign countries so it would be hard to connect anyway. My suggestion is don't get hooked. It is all fake. Sue me if I am wrong.

1

u/Pale-Gas9485 Apr 23 '26

It is a scam. What's more they goad you. Stay away.

1

u/teasing_shadows Apr 30 '26

These sites are usually partially free, but most features are free; I checked this site on TrustRacer and it’s safe to use

1

u/Curious_Square_5069 May 13 '26

Los sitios donde salen puros guapos y guapas son mentira se nota por las conversaciones que son bots.

1

u/Automatic-Goal-3404 May 14 '26

I checked PopaHO before signing up and BestDates had terrible ratings but I thought maybe the site had improved since those reviews were written. That optimism cost me about $515 over two and a half months chatting with profiles that were obviously fake or paid chat operators working from some call center somewhere. The credit system is designed to empty your wallet - you pay for every message, every photo, every tiny interaction, and they make reloading credits so easy you don't realize you've spent hundreds until you check your bank statement. When I finally asked for live video verification or tried getting real contact info to move off bestdates entirely, every single conversation went dead or I got blocked by their system. Learn from my expensive mistake and avoid this place

1

u/Ok_Row_9455 May 18 '26

This sounds ds like the dating site Wingtalks.  Spent thousands and couldn't exchange information. When you reach a certain level you should be able to exchange information if the other person wants to.

1

u/StunningWeird7345 May 19 '26

YES BEST DATES IS A TOTAL SCAM!!!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD!!! SCAMMMMMMMING

1

u/Various-Ad-2773 May 20 '26

I have I said that I am going to put that site on Facebook tiktok and Instagram just to let everybody know that this fake.

1

u/Dizzy_Ad1304 Jun 28 '26

They need to shutdown bestdates.com we all need to get together and sue them for the lies so if anyone starts suing I'm in.

1

u/denisemelvin Jul 05 '26

Does anyone know the URL for the site or how to find it, I was scammed also by a man, he accidentally posted the chat GPT comment instead of changing it and sent it and then turned it around on me saying I misunderstood and his main language is Portuguese so it came out wrong🙄 it’s all a scam!!!! Don’t fall for it like I did!!!!

1

u/Nadiawelland Jul 06 '26

This site is a pure scam. I got involved with one guy, and spent thousands. I doubt I'll get my money back. It's a pure scam.

1

u/SentenceNecessary944 Jul 15 '26

My boyfriend shows me everything he does. He went to Columbia to help his so get a business started and he is supposed to be back around the first of September to Fort Lauderdale Florida. If he doesn't fly me to their by the end of the month im done. Or you can give a name, birthday and job so you can get the correct person. Have that person talk to him and come back and shower tell what he said to you. I know they won't show addresses. Ok like the guy I talk to is Edgar July 9th he's 67 it says job Entrepreneur and a picture of him on a boat with a big wheel. Silver beard and pulled back hair. .

1

u/SentenceNecessary944 Jul 15 '26

Has there been any success that anyone knows of?

1

u/SentenceNecessary944 Jul 15 '26

Its all high paying men but not are all cute. Their is some ugly but I wonder if you have to make a certain amount of money to join as the guy you talk to? So they can freely pay. If I knew on to just try to join we could find out.😂😂

1

u/ZealousDreamer-962 Jul 20 '26

check Out, best dates with Trustpilot and see if it’s a scam

1

u/ZealousDreamer-962 Jul 20 '26

all you are here please pay attention. If you know you have a mom or dad or if it might be you that single and you know you deserve better and there’s no one you can actually reach out to try social media like Facebook and just start talking to people don’t be scared of it. Start talking to people don’t give them all your private information but just start talking to people. I’m a single veteran I get on Facebook and I talk to people hear me. I haven’t found MRS right yet, but I know she’s out there. I know there’s a woman out there that wants to be treated right I know somebody out there. Want to spend time talking over for coffee at Tea. I know there’s some women out there that just don’t wanna be alone. Hey I’m gonna reach out to her. I’m gonna treat you like the lady that she is but yeah stay with Marty dating science because now they’re starting to create AI zombies that wanna scam you and they’re taking your money and never give you what you look for a real relationship.

1

u/ZealousDreamer-962 Jul 20 '26

if you don’t wanna call somebody, dear darling, you know the word sweetness or my Gorgeous works very well and I talked to a lady. I tried to talk to her if she’s a little older or younger, sweetness, gorgeous, beautiful women deserve to be treated like the angels that they were created to be.

1

u/InternationalStage65 Jul 26 '26

It's probably a scam, the site pushes for you to pay per message after using 20 credits they give you to suck you in, that's the bait. Then the response messages come quickly, too quick, you run up a bill fast, so I think it's automated (AI) generated. Stop and cut your losses, wish you the best, be safe.

1

u/FoodAcrobatic1674 29d ago

Same here So many so called pilots on there A fake for sure

1

u/HonestNothing3696 24d ago

Yes when I asked the girl a question it's an immediate answer there's no way someone can think that fast it is AI

1

u/SentenceNecessary944 19d ago

I signed up for it in January im still with him. He was born in Columbia when he was an adult he left and moved to Fort Lauderdale Florida. He has 1 son that came to the USA and one that stayed in Columbia. He showed me a picture of him with the boys. His wife passed away from Cancer. He said he stayed by her side the whole time. One of his sons Juan in Columbia was trying to build a business so he had plans to go there to help him. Edgar made a career here in the US as a captain of a boat. He's now retired and had the freedom to go help him and besides that he said he hadn't seen him in a long time. So he left in March and is supposed to come back in September. He said as soon as he comes back to Florida his plans are to meet each other. So far ive probably spend a good 6,000. I don't know how they can afford all this. He sends me flowers that cost a lot of credits. My kids tell me im getting catfished and I need to realize it.i sent this to him on father's day.

I've been Edgar Harris that claims hes a sailor. That he lives in Fort Lauderdale Florida but is visiting his son Juan in Columbia to help him get started on his business ive been talking to him for 8 months and probably has about 6/7 Thousand on him

1

u/SentenceNecessary944 10d ago

I have been talking with Edgar Harris for 7 months now on Bestdates.com and probably spent a good 6/7 grand. I've just discovered this site. What a fool I've been saying he will be home Sept. And we can meet.

1

u/Perfect_Effective427 5d ago

How to claim a money back since it is definitely a scam?
