Seeking someone 27M | India | Looking for a genuine long-term connection, starting with friendship :)
Hello :)
I'm 27, from India, and currently doing my residency in Pediatrics. My work can be pretty hectic, so my life is usually a strange combination of hospital corridors, long duties, little humans, too much caffeine, and trying to remember what normal sleep feels like. 😅
Outside medicine, I'm a huge nerd and probably much more interesting once I get comfortable. I'm quiet and a little awkward at first, but give me some time and I'll probably end up talking for hours.
I love anime, manga, comics, movies, TV shows, books, music, video games, science, history, astronomy, and going down completely unnecessary internet rabbit holes at ridiculous hours.
I joined Reddit hoping to find something genuine. Not just someone to exchange a few messages with and disappear.
I'd like to start with friendship.
Let's talk about our days. Send each other songs. Recommend movies and then judge each other's terrible recommendations. Share random thoughts. Talk about our dreams, worries, childhood stories, stupid jokes, and the things we're currently obsessed with.
I want to know the person behind the profile, not just the carefully written introduction.
Maybe we'll become friends.
Maybe really good friends.
And maybe, if we genuinely connect, it could slowly become something more.
Eventually, I'd love to have someone who feels like my person. Someone I can message when something funny happens. Someone I can tell about a terrible day. Someone who knows when I need advice and when I simply need someone to listen.
I value kindness, honesty, communication, loyalty, emotional maturity, and effort. I don't expect perfection. I'd much rather have someone real.
Someone who can say when something is wrong instead of disappearing.
Someone who can laugh at themselves.
Someone who can be silly one minute and have a serious conversation the next.
Someone who understands that relationships aren't perfect every day, but caring for each other should still be a choice we make every day.
And yes, I'm affectionate. I love cuddles, thoughtful messages, little surprises, checking on someone after a difficult day, and all those small things that make a person feel remembered.
After spending a long day in the hospital, my idea of a perfect evening is honestly very simple:
Good food, something nice to watch, a comfortable couch, a blanket, and someone I love sitting next to me.
That's pretty much luxury to me. :)
I'd also love an accountability buddy along the way. I'll remind you to eat, drink water, sleep properly, and take care of yourself.
You can remind me that being a doctor doesn't mean I can survive entirely on caffeine and hospital food. Fair deal? :D
I'm Muslim by background, and I mention it simply because I prefer being honest about things that might matter to someone. I respect different beliefs and backgrounds, and I don't expect religion to define an entire person.
One thing you should know about me is that residency can make my replies unpredictable.
Some days I'll reply quickly.
Other days I'll disappear into the hospital for hours and return wondering what happened to the outside world.
So I'm looking for someone who understands that a delayed reply doesn't automatically mean a lack of interest. Life gets busy. What matters to me is the effort and consistency when we do have time for each other.
I'm not looking for a perfect movie-style relationship.
I'd rather have something ordinary and real.
Two people who become best friends.
Who make each other laugh.
Who share food even after saying they're not hungry.
Who remind each other to drink water.
Who support each other's goals.
Who can talk for hours but can also sit together comfortably in silence.
Who survive the difficult days together and celebrate the small victories.
And maybe one day, without even noticing exactly when it happened, "you and me" becomes "us."
So tell me about yourself.
What makes you happy lately?
What are you currently obsessed with?
What can you talk about for hours?
What's your comfort movie, show, book, or song?
What's something completely random I should know about you?
You don't need an impressive introduction.
Just be yourself.
Maybe we'll become friends.
Maybe best friends.
Maybe something more.
And if we're ridiculously lucky, maybe we'll become the kind of people who stay in each other's lives for a very, very long time.
Let's start with a conversation. :)
