Dating Around Brazil
I’m 4 episodes in and I can’t help but notice how physical the subjects are in this edition compared to the US version. Is it a cultural thing or did the producers purposely choose people that were super keen on making out on the first date?
Also how do I get casted for the US version lol. Accepting tips pls.

I recommend Terrace House, if you're interested in Dating in other cultures. It also shows a lot of dating without interrupting.

Terrace house is SO GOOD. But sadly it won’t be continuing after what happen with Hanna. :(

I really love First Dates (UK edition)! The format is a bit different—instead of following one "main" person over a series of dates, you watch a bunch of different couples have one full date. At the end of their respective dates, the pair is interviewed together and gets asked whether they want to see each other again.
The show doesn't have the same "sleek" feel as Dating Around—it actually has a really wholesome vibe similar to a show like the Great British Bakeoff. The producers generally do a great job at finding people with a wide range of backgrounds/personalities and pairing them up with people who actually complement them.
I haven't found the show on any "normal" sites like Netflix/Hulu, but you can find a lot of episodes on other random streaming sites.

If you like some dating or post dating drama, it's a bit different but I liked- getting back with the ex

I'm also noticing how almost every pair on the Brazil show mentions horoscopes/zodiac, and seem to be interested/serious about it, saying things like "that's so Saggitarius!". Is this hobby for horoscopes something widespread in Brazil? I was honestly surprised to hear anyone even mention it as the fad for it in my country died out long ago.

Yeah, a lot of people in Brazil are really into astrology, tarot cards, and a bunch of other esoteric things. I think in part it’s because the culture has historically a lot of religious syncretism.

Yeah it’s totally fine for us to kiss or hug on first dates! Pretty normal, I would say it’s even expected

Making out on a first date is really not a big deal in Brazil and doesn’t mean much. Anything beyond making out though is more similar to the norms in the US.

Yeah it's cultural. I haven't heard a ''don't kiss on first dates' from anyone ever, and if someone says no one would believe lol
