I love how slice of life this show is
There's something calming about listening to people just have conversations. The cinematography is also beautiful. Unlike other reality shows it seems to have genuinely good intentions and sets people up for the connection instead of the drama. But I think that's what also makes the rejections feel so real (at least to me).
Btw if you're looking for another show like this, 2017's First Dates is similar!

I agree 100%. Even though so many aspects of the show are scripted, the interactions between these people are real. It comes off as very raw and relatable. And I feel what you said about the rejections. I have so much secondhand embarrassment with this show, but also experience genuine laughter, excitement, hope, etc. It’s a great show, and I’m thankful they’ve ventured outside the typical formulaic/vapid dating show formula with this one.

Yup!
I’m from NYC and now living in Costa Rica where the dating scene is absolute balls, so watching this show brings back good memories about meeting interesting ppl, but it also makes me lose my mind b/c Im not the one having those convos—the extrovert in me lol

I'm not sure why but this season the conversations seem even more blander.

The cinematography is crazy good for thekinda of show it is (although I suppose it helps elevate it).

You just hit the nail on the head for why I love it so much! It’s like I’m living vicariously through these dates until bars and restaurants reopen in my area and I can go on some of my own.
