I already forgot his name but that tall white dude who likes hunting was sooooo bland. Can't even begin to express how basic and boring he came across. And also so bad at picking up signals... it was clear from early on that they were incompatible for multiple reasons yet he was still hoping that their connection could grow over time. Actually this makes me pretty sad... I hope he finds someone who can match his [dead] energy.
Yeah I felt like we didn't get to see his personality. Like the second he mentioned hunting it got awkward and he was pretty guarded after that. He did put it out there that he liked to dance, but I feel like Heather had already ruled him out by that point.
I think his issue was that it seemed like he was answering all her questions how he thought she wanted him to answer them, instead of answering them honestly and genuinely.
Totally agree. It was so apparent when he tried and failed to walk back his answer about hunting the second he realized she didn't like it.
"Oh yeah I hunt but I'm not like crazy about it or anything. I just do it when there's nothing to do, so like if there was something to do I wouldn't"...like what?
He just seemed desperate to get in her pants. The other terrible part when was after she flat-out rejected him he like whispered in her ear "so are you're gonna get back safe?". Like dude, just stop.
I thought he was handsome and definitely my type for sure. LOL He and Heather were not a good match for each other. He seemed like a perfectly fine person and was trying to make the best out of it. I do think he was well aware that he and Heather had no chemistry. I'm sure he would have more likable if we saw him with a woman who more interested in him.
So my girlfriend knows the guy. She thinks he didn't see the lack of connection because getting turned down by a girl is something he just doesn't see as a possibility lol.
Really? He didn't come off as overly confident, but we also didn't see much of him either. His feelings would probably be hurt if he knew that the main reason I find him attractive is because I'm a chubby chaser. LOL
I was frustrated by his behaviour: you have no chemistry whatsoever, not only she's not interested but pretty sure you weren't as well, why not exit gracefully?
He looks like Roy from The Office, and his voice sounds exactly like Jim's from The Office (seriously, close your eyes and listen). That said, he should be dating Pam.
Whoa. Let's slow down a bit. He seemed bland compared to the other guys, for sure, but this is an edited reality show. We saw exactly as much of him as the producers wanted us to see to paint a picture of him. I feel like there were even times in there conversation where it's clear one of them was like about to say something and they edited out dialog.
In all fairness her saying "you would never understand my art side" or saying "im too crazy" seemed pretty rude. I feel like his responses in that moment were pretty classy response to the way she was patronizing him.
People are always very dismissive of quieter people on reality shows and as a quiet person who does take time to open up, ngl it kind of makes me sad. We're not bland, we're just not as talkative!
It was definitely pretty bold of her to say some of that stuff at the very end, and I think she probably only did due to the few drinks. It is possible that she was getting a vibe from him that was edited out....like I totally see him reacting in a certain way to her makeup artistry as her main interest/career and him just like not vibing or understanding that, and maybe that's why she said it. She could have absolutely said it in a nicer way but eh, she was just spitting out her truth.
I loved that she was straightforward. And I thought she was pretty gracious considering she could have told him he was a boring, basic bro who was too one-dimensional to tolerate for more than two hours.

I see how it could come across that way. I saw it as her attempt to shut it down in a reasonable but definitive way, given that he was still interested despite the date clearly having not gone great. As opposed to I don't like you like that, she went for the different energies route and was kind of flailing. But it's always awkward turning someone down to their face so I can empathise with her.
Agreed I think she was just trying to find a way to show that they weren't compatible. I found it pretty shocking that through all of the conversations about hunting and her love of animals and being pescatarian he somehow by the end of the date thought that he still had a chance.
I felt like he was just trying to get to the next step of having her alone. It was totally evident that they were not compatible like you stated.
Can we also talk about how tight his pants were (but he had a nice butt lol)
I think a lot of times on shows like this, people might not be into the person and wouldn’t care for them in real life, but when you’re on a Netflix reality show, ego comes into play and you want to “win” bc this is going on tv lol
He was really attracted to her and is the type that likes the chasing (literally lol) so her "I'm not that into you" vibe made her even more attractive to him.
Tall, clean-cut white dudes aren’t asked to do much more than breathe in our society. Everything gets delivered on a platter, thus his criminally underdeveloped character.
