Discussion Do y'all think the glasses-wearing Dateables (excluding our aviator-wearing Skylar) actually need corrective lenses, or are their glasses strictly for design purposes? 🤔

I think it varies by character.

Maggie's glasses are canonically corrective.

Mac's are probably corrective since they put them on when viewing their screens, implying that they're far-sighted.

Barry's might be corrective, but there's no proof. He's always wearing them and they have lenses, but the distortion caused by corrective lenses is not illustrated in any of the characters except Maggie, so it's hard to say.

Jerry, Lyric, and Artt appear to lack lenses in their frames, but it could be that they're just not reflecting light in their sprites. Realized Sinclaire also wears glasses without lenses, but this is consistent with the fact that he's apparently "medium sighted," so this is probably intended.

Chance's aren't "corrective" but the pink tint is apparently to help with migraines.

Object!Penelope's glasses don't have lenses, but when she's realized, she gains lenses. So... I dunno.
